Re-designing equipment

I'm not positive on NWN's limits, but I figured if we already can change the color of our equipment, why not change the actual look of them? We can already tailor an outfit to our liking, it'd just be taking an item with all of its stats and changing its cosmetics.


An example: For some reason Jorgah's cape has a symbol of Cyrist on it, despite fetching it from a Gnoll run. It also looks like the top of a life-vest and that hes about to go swimming. What if I could change it into the cloak that drapes over his shoulders while keeping all of its stats? Or the Magician's cloak with the hood down?

Or changing that silly bird looking helmet into a triangular Knight helmet while keeping all of its stats?

Could be somewhat costy depending on what you want to change (such as a half-plate/plate design change might be 400 gold, cloaks could be 70, helmets could be 60, leather could be 150, cloth could be 80) but available within Mistlocke and Old Stones.

Defenatly aginst this. Sorry friend but some loot just HAS to look evil or ugly or..The list is long. This is what makes it special.

Also so you can tell what the person is wearing. I've played on a lot of other servers and I've had enough of fullplates looking like dresses.

So...yeah. ^ /Thread? Although to be fair I'm not sure if reforging changes the appearance of cloaks. Does it?
