Hello everyone,

Since opening our associations and factions to applications we've been flooded with an incredible amount of interesting and varied ideas from players new and old. We are thrilled with the reaction and only hope that the fruit that these applications bare will blossom into amazing plot lines and stories that yourselves and the DM team can participate in and create another chapter of fascinating history in EFU.

Unfortunately however with such demand it means the DM team have to be more particular about what applications we approve. This is to ensure that our factions and associations are equally balanced with players but also so the DM team can ensure we can concentrate and devote enough time to every single faction/association PC to see their application come to life.

If you've had your application rejected recently please don't take this personally, we've started a new period in the life of EFU where every player is eager to play a star role to shape the early stages of this chapter. Whilst we cannot accept every application right off the bat, the DM team are more than happy to work with you to tweak your application to ensure it can be the best it can. We are not promising that every app can be successful but we will work with you so it is more likely to be approved by the team as a whole.

First of all I would like to point out the following threads, I strongly advise reading these before writing your app so you know what makes the DM team vouch for an app to be approved.

"EFU:R Factions and Associations"

"Character Classes Information and Requirements (Including Prestige Classes!)"

"Subrace information and Race Reactions"

"Information About the Application Process in general (lots of good stuff in here)"

Secondly I am reintroducing the IRC channel #efuapps for anyone who wishes help with their applications, please feel free to join and ask any questions about your current app, an application your writing or an application you've had rejected. If you don't get a response straight away then it simply might be because I'm currently away from the computer, working or simply doing some other task. You will get a reply in a reasonable amount of time.

Finally there is the "DM Q&A Forum" for any questions you might like to ask.

Thanks for your time and keep the applications rolling in!

Johannes

Making significant IC progress towards faction membership, and then subsequently discovering that you cannot be admitted into the faction on OOC grounds can be very jarring for everyone involved. I encourage everyone to wait until their application is approved before going through the procedure of faction induction IC.
