Spells from the enchantmentspell school involve gaining control over another creature, or imbuing them with special properties.

"Imbuing them with special properties" isn't really how most NWN Enchantment spells work and isn't how I see the spell school. The spell school in EFU should be understood as being focused on mental based spells (confusing, holding, making them laugh, etc....)
