I wont lie and say my time here wasn't amazing, despite the fact I am most assuredly a horrible role player and have no concept of D&D. I would rate this as my single most favorite game of all time, and Howland has created something that should be heralded in some sort of nerd hall of fame. But I think we can all agree Ive worn out my welcome here, I did learn alot through horrible mistakes, and had alot of great times that I can say no other game could ever match.

I will miss the community, I apologize for anyone I might have been shitty to along the way IG, I know there were some of you. I do so detest drama, Im sure alot of you know why Im leaving, I would prefer that garbage not strewn about.

Most of my time here I just wanted to make a tank so people could quest, because for some unknown reason everyone refuses to make a tank, and questing is my all time favorite activity. Ill miss expertise shield wand dragging all of you through hordes of trolls, ogres, and that one time HELLCOW. I would ask some horrible scrub pick up the mantle of pure fighter sword and board imp expertise noob, because someone has to make that sacrifice.

Lastly I hope you guys have an epic ending to this saga, and that someone makes a book from all this to immortalize it. I wish you all good fortune in the wars to come.

CaptLars out.

Just take a break, man. I am pretty sure this animosity you are feeling is all in your head my dude. You are fun to play with, and I think you should know that.

Come talk to me if you want an ear dude. Much love.

You are by no means horrible role player or person. Take my word for it when I say that while people can argue and throw trash at each other, it is rarely out of true hate or dislike towards someone. It happens. The beauty of nwn role playing has always been that every character is in many sense a new opportunity to start fresh. It is up to you, and both players and DM's alike see exactly what you bring out with that character. We may be able to tell who plays characters, but what we always see first and foremost, is a character. If you amaze us, or make us laugh or be in awe of some scenarios you create, how you react to tough situations or how you make unexpected decisions - then you do. It doesn't matter who you are or who you have been in past.

As a DM I can say that while everyone has a past, it's never been any sort of absolute deterrent to stop us from interacting and throwing a bone for fun. If we see a moment and the situation calls for it, we'll do it. Regardless of what has happened in past. Naturally any could understand that if our attempts are met with sadness, disappointment or denial, it'd be harder for us as people to keep trying over and over again, but eventually we will again. Like anyone else.

I would hope all can understand and take my word for it, because I have no reason to sugarcoat any of it, for anyone. We don't do this as a job, it's a hobby and it works because everyone one way or another plays together and does their part for it. If truly you have done something unforgivable or lost trust of administrators, then you would be banned for a reason or another. If you are here and playing, you always have an opportunity to have fun and it is your obligation to do so. While past deeds can make it more demanding to earn some things, it will never stop you from achieving them. Never. This is one thing many fail to see and it's partly because we as people, players and DM's, cannot truly make folks to believe it and it's partly because roles of DM and player create assumptions and expectations that may be hard to surpass.

Regardless CaptLars, I wish you the best. Come back and play if you feel like it, and if you find other fun things to pass time with, then that's fantastic. This is for fun, and it should be that first and foremost.

If it isn't fun it isn't fun. Maybe if you choose to come back try a different role in the game. Like a merchant or non-quester type. Regardless, I hope you enjoy your time away from EFU and if you ever feel like coming back to scratch that itch we all welcome you.
