There's obviously a hill and some large amount of foliage separating the zone-in point and all the monsters, but line of sight is possible through this terrain and placeables in certain places. This leads to a certain somethings dropping multiple explosions through 10 feet of dirt and bushes right on the clustered-up PCs within moments of loading in. I'm not sure if it's the land-barrier being ineffective in its entirety (personally, I've had very little success seeing things or firing "out" from this bombarded position) or if the bumpy terrain only allows for sighting based on your Z height, but there's definitely some nigh-immediate destruction going on whenever someone so much as breathes at their keyboard after getting into the quest, despite still being well behind this natural "wall".
