I understand this should be a tough quest. But given how many Hill Goblin Blazebringers spawn at the same time, all with the potential to do 40 damage each with this spell, I would like see either the number of Goblin Blazebringers reduced or the spell removed from their arsenal. I've seen them chunk down a 120 hp character with greater insulation up in one round, straight into the fugue. Because 5-6 of them targeted the same person.

This might also be solved by making Orbs touch attack and allowing concealment to block half..

I think reducing the number of casters with this spell would be ideal, even if it means replacing them with strong melee ones.  It sucks to get blasted down without even the chance of surviving if you get crap luck and get targeted by multiple casters with this spell at the same time.

Egon the Monkey

This explains why nobody wanted to do that one. That sort of spam isn't even difficulty. Difficulty is where there's a problem and you can apply power or supplies or tactics to punch past it. Getting spiked down by an unsurvivable amount of damage is just "pray they don't target you". I have a similar issue with the Ghlyherds spamming Missile Storm as that's another L4 spell without an effective defence unless you VERY RAPIDLY work out what's going on and have Shield available.  Yes it splits up. but not if you're doing what appears to be the smart thing and putting a gank on some casters.

Both those quests appear to basically require you to have a team who's met them before, metagame, or die horribly. There's not a chance to learn after the first spell, as the first spell has a good chance of killing you. Like if something unexpectedly has PhK and you only had a PFE  pot up not Clarity.  Whereas Brute leech has horrible enemies but nothing that can instagib you. You can see what you're facing, and try to handle it.

I've removed the fire orbs. Thought it had been done before, but seems they had a variable to mass cast them even when they don't have the spell.

Just in response to Egon's random tangent, PfE makes you immune to PHK so dunno what you're on about.
