Beyond the Pale

In the wake of recent  events, the Pallid appear to have redoubled their ceaseless incursions, pale portals having been encountered flashing even insofar as the recesses of Ring 98. A three-way duel of domains - king, count, prince - appears inevitable.

Scouting parties have entered the Bonelands, bringing with them tales of a preparation of all-out, never-ending war by the Prince's forces.

The drill continues to be defended by the brave, but courage is counted in moments, not, as the Pallid's endless forces seem to threaten, forever.

Woeful winds reign, clouds clot together, and skeletal figures patrol the road all the way to Ring 92. Proximity is the Pallid's only prerequisite to distinguish friend from foe... and Ring 99 has never seemed nearer to the ceaseless danger the Prince beyond the pale seems to pose.

Concerned souls have begun to gather, in open and in secret, planning their part in the plays to come., whilst elsewhere a clock tick-ticks away, whiling away the hours..

Most of the weekend, including Sunday, with preparatory events throughout the week. Usual rules will apply, see you there!

The Lady Oriana of House Sunpurse has been taken from her home at the hands of a sudden invasion by the Pallid Prince's forces. In reply to this tragedy, the young boy Phelan - Crowsong - has come out of hiding with the druids of Pauper Ponds. The return of Phelan, a direct contender to the seat of House Sunpurse opposite the count Zarono Senespur, marks a turning point in the current state of the Peerage Ward and whatever comes next as a consequence and result of the next few days of choice and action will likely spell the future of the ward for a long time to come.

For his part, the boy has but one request: his mother, safely returned home.

The courageous, cunning and the craven may yet all find their part to play in this grand quest...

This will be run intermittently throughout the entirety of Saturday and Sunday by myself and other DMs, so players have the chance to partake in some if not all events.

A prerequisite to (properly) partake in this event is to engage with and complete the quest "A Princely Blow", available in Ring 92.

The Peerage Ward of Ring 99 has gathered under the banners of the likes of Ser Manfred Japes of Orza, Ser Adrian Winespill of Velstra, and Luc Devereux of House Moonspear. They have united with the Drill's forward forces and what is left of House Sunpurse's loyal retainers, deep behind the Pallid Prince's enemy's lines not too far from his seat of city, Pale.

With courage and cunning the forward army managed to take, then break, the outer fortifications of the necropolis that has stood for eons untouched and unblemished by the touch of unwanted visitors. A direct charge into the depths of Pale seems the only course of action in this grand quest of recovering the lady Orianna from the clutches of the Pallid Prince.

For their part in this grand war of distant figures, neither the Prince nor the Count have been seen directly during this theatre of open conflict...

The time is nigh to end this, once and for all.
