Esteemed Hakem of the Synod Korinthus Dûngir,

The story of Besimet Boon is known publicly and is widespread, the people call out for Vengeance, for Wroth and for the perpetrators to be punished.

The perpetrators of this crime are Kulamet, one of the coldblooded murderers even a Priestess of Kula.

At the Synod it was voted and decided that Kula would be placed on the Stele. Thankfully, by coincidence, the Legate had decided not to go forth with this decision.

When I conversed with thee, thee were in agreement that it was a crime that was committed that day.

Even though these Kulamet do not represent all of the faith as thee will argue, it would be a perceived a reward and acceptance of their actions should Kula make it to the Stele now.

Thus I beg of thee, make a wise and sound judgement in this case. Let us revert the decision and re-convene or simply revert to the 2nd most voted option.

Or if thee wish to place a strong message to the murderers and to the populace that cry out for justice... Place Wroth upon the Stele. It would be right.

I am looking forward to seeing thy answer.

With kind regards,

Yaawar Al-Khalhid

Dearest Makhyoon Yaawar,

I have received your letter with the due gravity and reflection that it is deserved.

I do agree that placing Kardun upon the Stele at this hour would be a reward for the acts of Her Speakers. Their actions were not only contrary to divine harmony, but a violation of sacred order and trust. Such conduct must not be sanctified through honor, otherwise we risk eroding the meaning of justice itself.

It was my wish, admittedly, to see nature heal in these times, especially after the Ash claimed Bet Nappahi. I had hoped Kardun's wild mercy might restore what was lost. But nature, when unchecked by wisdom, may overgrow into chaos, and now the roots of that chaos run deep.

I have spoken with the Legate of Gold, Vellyn, regarding the elevation of the Hearthmaiden to the Stele. I know not if this has been done yet. The city is in need of healing now, not only in body but in spirit, and the tears of the Mother may yet forgive us. Yet while the people cry out for vengeance, to speak only of mercy would be to turn a deaf ear to the broken.

Thus, I propose this;

I will do my utmost to meet with the Legates and reconvene, though in these times, even I struggle to reach them amidst the noise of electoral tides. I will likely bellow for this change. Until such a gathering is made possible, and until justice has been done and seen to be done, I will bellow to place Umbur upon the Stele.

Let Wroth's gaze fall heavy, and let none doubt that the crime of Besimet Boon will not go unanswered. I am no Speaker of the Eighth, but I hope no further lives are lost. Vengeance has a hunger that knows no end, and I pray we do not forget the line between justice and ruin.

When the masses are appeased, you work alongside the Law, when the blade has fallen and the record has been closed, and when Umbur averts his gaze, I will look again to the Hearthmaiden. I will look to the Mother for mercy and forgiveness over Ephia's Well in our time of healing.

Wisdom, light your way,

Priest of the Rathgan, Speaker of Izzakhar, Hakem.

Esteemed Priest of the Rathgan, Speaker of Izzakhar, Hakem, Korinthus Dûngir,

Thy reply was swift and thee carries thyself with great wisdom, I am most pleased by receiving thy missive and thee may count upon my support spiritually and politically.

Thee ask of me to work alongside the law, in the matter of Besimet Boon, but thee should not ask this of me. I am a Speaker of Urazzir, and Vengeance will be had. Instead, I suggest, thee would work with the Legates and with the Law, to ensure that is they who are sprung to action. I cannot go back on my words, that I have spoken publicly and I have spoken infront of the Shrine of the Wronged-Stone. It would be betrayal of Wroth.

I would never have intervened if it wasn't for the lack of proper response from the Legates, Fourth Legion or Halls of Jurisprudence. That is the point.

If they act before punishment is given by my dark disciples and vigilantes, then thee will have what thee wishes for, and I will not have betrayed my oath.

Please let me know if this suffices with thee, and whether thee art understanding of the difficulties I face.

Once again, my gratitude for thy wisdom in this matter.

With kind regards,

Yaawar Al-Khalhid
