There is a planned descent with approval of the Legate to commence at this weeks end. Our mission is to better understand what is going below and seek out the Wellfolk if they need assistance.

In the interest of keeping everyone safe and minimizing any risk, I'm reaching out prior to making the public announcement to know if there is anything you can think of that will help the Fourth in reinforcing or keeping the peace during the descent in the event there is any manner of retaliation by Tormented.

Your missive is appreciated and will be noted within our files. Your mission however is one inherently fraught with extreme risk to the Citadel. The Wellfolk are an elusive and mysterious entity. Delving to reach them without their summons was the cause of the previous crisis and Illul. The Cinquefoil Rose is well aware of this. As such you must practice extreme caution.

You are advised to stay beneath for at most three hours, with no more than the legal capacity safe to avoid detection. Furthermore, it would be wise to leave behind any eager Ashfolk who intend to join you in your quest. The Hin draw the scent of the enemy, as Ep Bharat alluded to, and as experience has shown us. Avoid contact with the Inheritors /where possible/. Take care to abide these terms and we will be satisfied you have done all you could to avoid incident.

If you may provide the time of your Descent we may prepare suitable barricades and defensive-lines in case of an attack, however I will restate - if advice offered is followed the chance that it will even be necessary decreases substantially. Of any expeditions beneath yours personally have been with the least incident, so we are confident in your success. Should the worst happen there will naturally be consequences, however.

Is this how you talk to someone who risked everything they have and are to save your life? I think I deserve better than this. I was quite saddened to read that.

It is the duty of the Legion to safeguard the Well from harm. No good will come from a Delve beneath the Citadel. The Cinquefoil Rose has been warned many times of potential costs. Should any reckless conduct invite the Tormented above and seriously threaten the City, yes there will be consequences.

As to supplies or preparations, I will be candid. There is little more save measures we already take that will aid. Barricades in the street, warnings to the public. All these have taken place in the past and not blunted the result. We'll take all necessary precaution to be sure, but the severity of this attack as evidenced in Illul will depend mostly on how far you intent to descend. Return as quickly as possible, avoid driving the Tormented into a frenzy, try not to die, or bring death with you above.
