Loot Skimming and OOC Unfairness

I want to address what I find a very tasteless and unfair occurrence that is a continued and irritating behaviour here at EFU. Loot Skimming.

We are all aware that certain people feel the need to take more than they are deserving of in very out of character, totally power gamer mentality acts of unfairness that are beginning to leave more than a bad taste in my mouth when observing people on general quest runs.

To reiterate, if you find an item during a quest and your character has not informed a DM that they are attempting to steal or conceal it, then mechanically everyone has seen you pick that up. There is nothing to justify taking that for yourself for any reason without first showing that to your companions. This is especially true for apparently Good Aligned characters that would have literally no in character justification to even be stealing or concealing an item beyond the greedy mindset of the person behind the wheel, so to speak.

The only avenue that this kind of behaviour leads to is what I can only consider anathema to our setting and everything we are about here. We do not need silly, MMO style disagreements that are infringing upon the otherwise stellar roleplay found at EFU because people feel the need to be greedy and unfair.

From now on when this behaviour is observed it will be dealt with accordingly.
