Fat Curse

Bestow Curse should make people fat until they get a remove curse. Grotesque appearance and fat is a common "Curse" that people would bestow upon people in many fairytale stories.

On the whole though I think it would be neat if Bestow Curse could be sorted out like how Polymorph Self has various shapes. A list of various uncouth and laborous curses that people would have upon them instead of the traditional "-stats, saves, etc" of standard Bestow Curse.

I think it shouldn't be the only effect although.

Or make it random upon a list of possible things or make it possible to choose between. Other options:

 - flies
 - glowing body
 - lack of a limb
 - sensibility to light
 - ugliness
 - big nose
 - clumsiness: can't climb decently and got horrible tumble. They're knocked down from time to time, randomly
 - and so on.

I imagine it wouldn't just make people fat, but also remove some of their charisma.

I agree with this but not for the same reason! I think the "lawl, fat phenotype" thing's played out and seems to only be used for "humorous effect" against female PCs.

However, I do think bestow curse should be able to be set somehow IG, and the crafting menu would be a great place to do it. Being limited to the generic small penalty to stats option is kind of boring compared to what we could do with this.

Even a system where we could curse a specific stat by a larger amount would be more interesting than the default!

Also, making someone fat seems like it'd be more of Baleful Polymorph effect, RwG!
