Give the softcore prelude a spawn point in case someone comes out of the hardcore prelude and has to log before they can go through the portal or whatever.

This seems kinda pointless. To what end?

So people who finish the hardcore prelude and log out once they reach the default aren't transported back to the hardcore prelude. Which has now become impossible to complete because the vizier quest can only be done once.

Under what circumstances would a hardcore character be unable to simply use the portal to Sanctuary instead of a spawn point in the same area? The portal serves as a checkpoint. It sets the character's spawn point to Dunwarren. The dialogue to use it is straightforward and simple.

I suspect I'm misunderstanding something.

When someone has to go and doesn't have time to do the ordinary prologue? :???:

If you're in a hurry, why not skip the salvage quest entirely? I could only describe it as essential to new players who need to be introduced to the server's quest system.

Because I want the supplies?

Stranger

If they desire, characters can gather adventuring supplies in the hardcore prelude for several resets before they make their escape. This comes with an intrinsic degree of risk because the area is rife with dangerous monsters. It's a fair and moderately challenging way to start off.

Why not do that? And if the extra bump of experience is particularly important to you, perhaps you should remake the character you didn't have time to push through?

Not happening, for all the reasons already stated.

My advice: make a new PC when you have more time to play!
