DMs are often pushing preludes agendas for minor DM plots and other wise but I think it'd be cool if occasionally that branched to a more expanded form.

Instead of the typically "I need a red team and a blue team" or Slaver/etc. Factional like the Auxiliary for instance with two distinct branches and a lot of cool potential could really benefit from a DM-ran prelude to get some PCs automatically inducted after a small from the surface DM style quest, similar to other preludes. I know DM faciton preludes are typically avoided due to people required to wait on apps and similar but a group like the Auxiliary coming in as grunts, or a Watcher Recruit prelude, or something on par with that I think would help flesh out a lot of PCs in areas where from time to time PCs aren't always that prominent. It would just bring a great surge of life into an area of the server all at once which can help flesh out new PC styles, help people get the ground running quicker than the starter portal, and similar.
It could be something like some mercenaries on the surface saved by the SG and contract negotiations between a level 2 "Boss" PC and his crew of warriors, scouts, and siege engineers to enlist as Sanctaury's elite.
Red Guild prelude of adventurers heading out to save slaves from Sorrowfeast Island, becoming indebted to Gould and the Red Guild
Black Guild Prelude of citizens in the Public Housing Vault tackling some big hurdles or discovering some threat and disposing of it as they move from Commoners to active Black Guild PCs and adventurers.
Questionably motivated Frontier Branch NPCs captures a number of gangsters in Lower Sanctuary's outskirts and gives them the chance to enlist as Recruits or be executed as non-citizens in a sort of "Corrupt Cop" prelude.
Just a few rough ideas but I think it'd help flesh out a lot of the areas of Upper Sanctuary if preludes were offered. They always get PCs attention, folks always make fairly neat and fleshed out character ideas for a prelude, and it just helps move things along. I know not all prelude PCs survive or continue on but if even like 2-3 awesome PCs came out of such preludes it would flesh out a lot of aspects of Upper Sanctuary very quickly.

I know DMs are busy often and all have many plates spinning but after a recent discussion in #EFU I just thought it'd be something to toss up as a suggestion/reminder.
