Beyond Netheril: The Guild of Magic and Archaeology

Remember the awesomeness of the Shrouded Isles Syndicate Library, or the William Bell University and Archaeological Society?

Well, I don't, since those things were before my time. :(

What I do know however is that their works have lasted and form the basis of lore we can access in game.

If you ever wanted to be part of something like the associations evoked above, now might be the time sign up with this burgeoning fellowship.

It is our intention to explore those far reaches of the game world that lie untouched by the vast majority, to tread where so few ever dare to go, either due to lack of perceived competence or simply not possessing a large enough player pool to organise and undertake such grand ventures.

We'll share our works with others in a non spoilerish way of course, but to get the most out of this, it would be best to associate with the guild in some way; just as it was with the above listed factions.

It is not all about exploring EFU's excellent lore and environs though, the guild is akin to a not so intensive version of the Transcendent Conclave (and without its empire building), where other members are willing to help their fellows along their own goals. The overall intention is to see the Guild itself as politically neutral, but its membership and associates can come from across the spectrum.

Speaking of associates, you don't have to officially sign up with the faction to join us. Not much has been seen yet, but we'll be starting expeditions in game soon enough and will invite others along with certain provisos- we can leave all of that to FOIG though.

I just thought I'd let you all know that this kind of thing is planned and will be coming to a future near you, so that you might help make it awesome.
