It'd be neat if an item were added to the module that allowed you to blindfold someone.

It could work similarly to restraints except instead of applying a movement debuff it applies the blindness effect.

SilkHidingSteel

I'm all for having more agency in situations where someone is subdued. I don't think this is a bad idea--maybe make it work similar to the blood syringe, in that you use it on someone and they either resist or submit, or can be forced to wear it on subdual.

Aethereal

In my experience, being blacked out felt like being blindfolded.

Quote from: Spiffy Has;n46042The fourth and final subdual setting is "/c subdual bo" , bo=Blackout. This will send the character into a "Black" area to represent their unconscious state and inability to monitor what is going on around them. A player 'corpse" will drop and allow you to carry both you and their pack to a safe (or not so safe) location for you to deal with them. Disclaimer: This feature, while amazing, is known to bug. Please, keep this in mind when using this, and ask yourself, "do I really need to use this feature?" before using it! If you do use it, do everything possible to make sure a DM is onhand to supervise. Bugs related to this include: Complete inventory wipe, to the inability to return, forcing a DM to take action in returning the character to life. It is stressed, use this only when required. Continued use of Blackout is neither fun nor advisable. Do not use it where "/c Subdual Subdual" is just as beneficial and perhaps even enjoyable as a whole.

It isn't necessarily one of the most pleasant of experiences, but it does seem to have the desired effect, no?

No, because Black out requires them to be subdued and get to 0 hp.

Sankis

Yeah, sometimes you have a prisoner and don't want to beat them down. Blackout does it well but ICly you're punching someone into unconciousness.

Aethereal

Ah-ha. So it could indeed be implemented as the 'accept blind fold' dialogue in the manner of the blood drainage syringe dialogue mentioned by SilkHidingSteel, which instead of draining blood sends the player accepting it into the black out area. Voluntary black out, as it were.

That'd be strange, and the best option is likely just the blindness effect but I'm not sure how prone to bugs that would be- but if they take the blindness effect they can still flee, hear and 'see' (feel out) their immediate surroundings.
