After about half a year, I'm going to retire my PC Byran Ayes.  With my current work life, I just don't have the time to commit to this character, or EFU, for the foreseeable future.  I figure it's better to make room for new PCs than to log in once a week to play for the next few months.

Byran was a character I truly enjoyed playing.  When I first rolled him, I had one real goal: In a world destroyed by aberrations, justify "why" these aberrant monsters (the Knights of the New Path) were in Sanctuary.  If I had more time, I would have had Byran explore more of his goals; most of which surrounded systematically dismantling the leadership of Exile Collective, and rebuilding it solely under the guidance of the Knights of the New Path.

While I don't think I was entirely successful in achieving Byran's goals, it was certainly a fun ride.  Some of his highlights (absent spoilers) included:
•   Exploring and discovering some of the more hidden gems of EFU lore
•   Becoming a Knight of the New Path
•   Becoming the "Warden" of the Vaults
•   Becoming a "Sword of Amblecrown"
•   Earning the Knight PRC
•   Consistently spiting Ormulax and Intryzz (and their PCs)
•   Collecting some truly unique and powerful items
•   Collecting more than a few Rings of Final Sanctuary
•   Fighting a number of iconic NPCs: to include Dread Masters, Swords of Kingsley, and the Pride of Jultar.
•   Using his "code" to commit both very good aligned and evil acts—IE, one day giving up his leg to save some random PC adventurer who never logged in again, simply because he could have been a good "soldier in the crusade."  Another day, hiring assassins and planning murders for those who he felt were distractions.
•   Engaging in a fair amount of behind the scenes scheming against the Spellguard (Thanks to RWG and KOP for helping keep the conflict between the EC and Spellguard alive.)

I need to look through all of my screen shots before posting a few, but I certainly will.

Thanks to all the great PCs, players, and DMs I had the opportunity to interact with.  I'll see you guys again when my schedule frees up.

Unfortunate but I guess it can't be helped! Enjoyed Byran from the very start of when I interacted with him (sacrificing his leg) to the last encounter we had couple days ago.

Good luck with IRL and we see you again with a new character.

It was a fun series of events, sorry you had to bail but RL definitely takes precident.

EFU ain't going anywhere so take care of business and swing on back with another cool PC!

Well done not dangerous Dan. I particularly enjoyed the Warden's efforts to bring the knights forward!

I kind of just considered him another thrall of Amblecrown to be honest, tried to party up earlier in his career with a couple characters to see what he was about but he only wanted to group up with 'strong' people at the time so I became disinterested quickly.

Seems I ended up missing all this conflict, motivation and story stuff entirely. Good luck with the next anyway.

Very nice Dan! Fantastic RP every time we met IG.
