An official missive to Numap of Alkab, Mouth of the Masters [DM]

Honorable Numap,

First and foremost, let me apologize for the horrid conduct displayed by our latest delegation to Alkab. Our behavior was most uncouth, and disrespectful of the sacred duty that Alkab has taken as its obligation. It is my humblest wish that Alkab and Ephia's Well shall be able to hold cordial relations in the future, so that our city states can both see to the labors given to us.

Dire news have doubtlessly reached Alkab, already. The Thousand Clans, united under the banner of Iakmes, seek to lay waste to their enemies. In their eyes, this is anyone outside the Clans. Already, settlements along the southern border of the Great Ash Desert have been assailed, their unfortunate residents murdered. Wherever they go, destruction follows, and innocents flee their homes. Caravans bearing crops from Alkab shan't be spared from their destructive passage.

The threat is common to us all. As such, I shall be direct. We require help. The people of the Desert must stand united against this peril, or all shall fall. If Alkab has any help to give, we would be most grateful, and return such assistance to the best of our ability.

Let us work together. To see that none shall go hungry. To help those that need it most. To see Bel-Ishün bloom forth.
