Honored Bey & Deferent of His Sublimity's Commander, Fourth Legion, Sultan's Janissary;

Noble Lieutenants, willful Sergeants, brave Legionnaires. Soldiers all.

I write this petition in the abnormality of a curious career change entrusted unto the mind and invitation of Sergeant Hanson Gilbracht, and in memoria of the late Lieutenant Rennik Colmes of whom I held a deep and professional respect for.

As the Lieutenant once likened me to the late Legate Ahmet Yildirim, who once served the Second Legion, I have long considered where it is my path lays and I have decided upon the counsel of those I trust that it lays within the Fourth Legion.

I have served as Legate of Ephia's Second Seat in the Ephian Assembly, I have served Her as Prelate, as Palatial Advocate and as Vizier of the People, and in my short tenure I worked closely with Sergeant Gilbracht to offer all and any aid I could, treating with each of the Accord with the temperament taught to me by my mentor, Alexandria Sayburgh.

That is to say, of all the things one should not do. While my duties fell upon me in the slightest notion of virtue, I sought to correct my past mistakes and live a life worthy of the Mother; of a life in honor of Izdu and a life in memory of his children, the Twins.

I have done these things, and now, I would serve as soldier of the Fourth Legion, and make right the scales of travesty beheld in the Halls of Jurisprudence. What I shall bring with me is the repertoire of knowledge bestowed upon me by my study of Twindari law and tenet, and to rap, I am trained with dual-sword, and may wield them with prudence in service to the Bey.

Through diplomacy, through war, through trial, through order, I will bring into your fold an air of professionalism, of determination and of a justice unheard of by many who mock Galim and His court. And when Ephia's Well finds itself at last, tamed and obedient, so too shall the Fourth Legion's name be spread across the Great Ash and become revered. As my oath to the Twindari states, alongside these things I will honor those tenets, and see our dead delivered to the Preparators to be given their last rites. Not a name in our ranks shall go unremembered, and not one death will be in vain so long as I live to serve.

I hope you will consider this proposal. Live and Drink.

With regards,

Palatial Advocate Edmund Lothere
