Ruital,

I have found not on one, but two occasions now of you sharing information about my business practises with those who would use this information in a negative way against me. For one who claims not to be interested in the trade of information you seem to have used it colourfully against me.

I was prepared to forgive the first slight, the second has me frustrated but I shall not tolerate a third.

Before you ask me "what were these slights" I think you know better then that, there is not much that escapes my attention.

We can continue to enjoy our occasional business exchanges free of these games or you can continue down this path and I will have to reciprocate in kind. I offer you this warning, for the admiration of your works, but know that I will not be made a part of any games.

Enmur

Palatial Officer,
First and foremost I appreciate you reaching out. I know your duties keep you. To your concern I would indeed not insult you by asking "What sleight".

The opposite. I am glad to disclose to you the extent and reason of your business practices being shared as thus: You told me many times you welcome opportunities. So I have undertaken more than a few steps to attempt to cultivate such. Using both your name, your business, some of the sizeable strengths of that business, some of the faults of that business, and more. That opportunities would arise for yourself, those I have spoken with, and yes. Myself.

The Balladeers
In the instance of the Cinquefoil Rose, it was simple: Skink has eyes as good as I do for a person's purse and made some intimations, all I had to confirm what was already suspected. Lujayn's Warchest has been followed with rapt interest by many parties, long before it found its way to your business. Buster and his Cohort of Chums scramble because they have all but admitted defeat to your efforts. So while you have broken their spirits I picked a few scraps from their proverbial corpses.

Furthermore the fact they have rallied around Vaskr the Moon-Touched, it showcases both the hypocrisy and failings of the Cinquefoil Rose. Using a degree of your business has drawn them from hiding into the light. The way Balldeer Craddick, of all people, rewarded his behavior for "Speaking Truth to Power" only highlights her own feeble and broken ethos. Caddick who rewarded him, Lyrist Domergue who openly and publicly supports him, Champion Myl who herself inducted him into the Rank. The Rose as a Whole, aside from Balladeer Aurelio, have seemingly leapt at any chance to take to the Bellows to reveal their intentions. That the workings of Vaskr Moon-Touched is a man they admire, respect, and protect. All that was required was confirming their suspicions that you had the Purse, of which you also did by your bellows a day after.

Proving to many that you are very good at your job, and Legate Faith learned from her defeat in the last election, and the Balladeers on the whole are not to be trusted.

In terms of sleights though I would say you are hardly as forgiving as your letter claim. Informing that both Myself and Peyton, you find "Too Volatile" effectively ended a majority amount of my business with Buster as it was claimed I cost him your business together. The only Dinar I have made was for a laughably sad auction, of which they gave away all the prized pieces as gifts to their friends and political allies from underneath me to earn political favors.

Unless of course that simply the Brew Crew seeking to ferment dissent betwixt you and I. If such the case, such simply the cost of my business done.

La Banda Rossa
Of Recluta Flint, of all the Rose I have met, is a gentleman who aspires to a wide degree of business. Sharing with him your business practices was in hope, similar to others the possibility of broadening your reach per our discussions previous. He is a noted rising comet among La Banda Rossa and so detailing a degree of our past business I had hoped would spurn him to inspire to reach out. As after all - You are a Mercenary, I am a Mercenary, he is a Mercenary. And yet we are all of differing stripes. Intellegence is well and good to have, but competent mercenaries to act on such, all the better for everyone's business.

Beyond the Rose however, I have shared word of your business with a few others.

Red Vulture of The Parched Mother
Of Red Vulture she is a woman of ambition who, similarly, may indeed as you and I spoke be interested in further business with you. As you travel the same circles, only she keeps Ashfolk Hours, it felt prudent to find a way to bridge the gap. She has confirmed pleased with my passing of her request to you, and welcomes an invitation from you, should you wish to discuss business with her.

Though she is rough around the edges she has a complementary style which I believe would pair exceedingly well with your own aspirations. Whereas someone such as I was disinclined to your offer she may indeed be very amenable. Provided you may make it worth her while.

Legate Faith
Of Legate Faith during my time as Scribe she informed me that she wished a frank and honest assessment of herself, her business, and her practices. Among a litany of discredits to her association with the Cinquefoil Rose I issued a hazard in overly trusting you. Not as a matter of dismissing your business, of which you are proven most capable at. But moreso as myself, yourself, and any who partake of the Mercenary trade are only to be trusted so far. She rather roundly responded "You are not the first to tell me that".

Deputy Chief Scribe al-Samar
As we spoke of in person you and the Deputy Chief Scribe swim in the same circles in different means. I have delivered unto her fragments of our past business by means in which she may, as I did with you, find a bridged gap that you might both prosper robustly together considering your chosen occupations. While they are not directly conjoining they are certainly parallel and if that gap could be bridged her workings and yours would be a robust boon to both yourselves, any prospective client, and Governance at large. The Career path you expressed an interest in, she is one of the few who can directly expedite such given her ties and occupation. Though I did not share with her your desires for such.

Roy Von Erich of The Iron Ring
Roy Von Erich is perhaps, aside from yourself, the single most ambitious Human I have met in Ephia's Well. With such ambitions comes the need for friends in places. Friends of which yourself would do him well. I do not know if he has yet approached on matters but as he owes me a considerable debt I thought pushing him in your orbit would be a beneficial gain to you both. Especially as he begins to carve his teeth and cut his way in the Great Ash Desert.

Nessia the Deep Delver
As you have made many bellows for her about your business and she had approached me about some mutual business, I rather thought we were traveling in the same circles already so offering her some insights into the merits of business with you, as well as potential risks, simply good cooperation. To my knowledge she has dismissed those risks and still seeks business with you and on the project moving forward I am hopeful we may cross orbit once more.

Edmund Lothere
The Palatial Advocate Ex-Legate and I spoke at considerable length about the situation of Epiha's Well, which of course, you both have played sizeable hand in. Himself as Legate, Yourself as inheritor of the Ashen Conclave, and all that such entails. He shared some information of his own dealings with The Magus and your name was brought up comparable to the discussion of Legate Faith in terms of assessment. Merits and Demerits of your practices and method. Ultimately however your Guildmate came firmly to your defense and raised some truly good points that shifted some of what I felt were Refugee Demerits to possible merits of further business with you.

Beyond these larger examples I have little doubt there are morsels here, there, everywhere.

For that is what I do, when I tell people that the Refguees are the greatest resources Ephia's Well has. I lay breadcrumbs that bring people together. More often than not, such built relationships as they grow become opportunity for myself.

As a Vintner it is called Terroir among Baz'eel, a practice learned by the Ring Runners who brought it to the deep rings so long ago. In layman's terms it is anything that influences the Vine as it grows. A number of factors of Demon's heat and evening chill, saturation of moisture, inclination of the dunes and hillsides where the grapes are grown, and so much more. It is what makes it such a wonderful and fascinating science and practice out of Wine Making. For even the smallest adjustment can shift the quality of the product dramatically. Sometimes for the worse, sometimes for the better, and in the rare instances producing the single most delightful vintage.

I have learned it also extends remarkably well to business.

Suffice to say if you wish me to cease, I shall effective immediately. No longer shall your name or our business together be utilized to cultivate further. I shall bid you fair business and indeed, honor your wishes.

However if your interest piqued, I'd be glad to share a bottle of wine and speak more at your leisure. Absent of course the pressure of your duties post debate that cut our matters short. I should only require roughly an hour of your time, or thereabouts, if you can free your schedule of such.

Enmur,

I know you had said you had some business with the Legate, so I apologize we could not speak more at Ramieton beyond meager congratulations. Seek me though in the next day or two as you are able. Some new business to discuss which I believe you may find most agreeable.
