just was thinking that its rather odd that Risers dont have dark vision, their eyes are no longer usefull in an organic sence so it seems like they would have a magical vision. if this is the case they should be able to see in the dark

(yeah i know their awesome already but this one just seems kinda odd that they dont have it)

Ebok

perma ultravision imo

TheMacPanther

I think they should have ultra, seems sorta odd that an ancient undead needs to spark up a torch to get around.

Gnome on the Strange

Perma Ultravision would be a *huge* advantage with Darkness having been returened to its normal, awesome form. Darkvision though would be fine and make sense. I thought all undead had that.

Drakill Tannan

Perma true seeing IMO.

putrid_plum

It does make total sense to have darkvision.  Anything more is overkill.

Actually I believe it would only work on hostile Darkness spells. If the player themselves or an ally cast it they would still need to 'remove' the effect via an ultravision spell or potion.

Ebok

I missed that memo where Darkness was de-lamed. If it is back to its original NWN style then darkvision would be more appropriate. >_>

i did think about it in a ballanced way hence dark vision over any others ^^) glad im not the only one that thinks so :)

Nevermind Darkvision. How about Immunity: Darkness? Or Immunity: Spell School (Evocation) which has Darkness in it. OOOoooh I'm so excited think of the possibilities.

;)

Relinquish

Darkness is just one of those spells you can't be immune to without UV

OBJECTION!

You're just being silly.

BigBadThief

Immunity:Darkness once again only works if the creator of the spell is hostile, therefore the player using it will still be effected by their own spell. The best fix to this would be to give some of these races Ultravision are 2x their level or something to makeup for it. That's all stated in certain places and I've never tested it personally but if it can be made to work then Immunity:Darkness would be quite legit for Drow, Nightrisers, and other creatures with light sensitivity.

TheImpossibleDream

Ultravision costs you five credits and lasts a long time (thats one egg gets you two bottles of 4 hour duration) not only that but you'll find darkness very effective, something thats also readily available to you!

So, any update? Mostly... getting the darkvision or low light vision would be very very nice, or many just an items like a helmet in the vendor that has it?  In the ruins some places are so dark you can't see at all and often get stuck on small objects.  I know you can buy ultravision pots but it just seems a bit silly for an undead that lives below in darkness to be blind!
