The Boom King

I should probably do what Thomas said. But since I'm a newb I'll ask here how to change your biography. A link will do.

Anyway, I think that if the slavers and the slaves provide a good bit of OOC courtesy, things should be pretty radd.

Underbard

Seems to be a common consensus that slavery shouldn't be mandatory, but if more people explored the possibilities, it could add a lot to the server.  As a recently freed slave, I can say that while getting started can be a bit slow the opportunities are endless.

Dr Dragon

Forcing  someone to start the server as a slave should not be considered.

Quote from: Random_White_Guy;194046That wasn't the issue at all Buns, sorry if I made it look that way. (And thanks, you're awesome too! :D) This is more of an IC issue suggestion, rather than an OOC one.

I just meant there are like no IC things keeping people in.

NPC servants never run because they're never around.

There are so many gaps in Stygian security and Noble lord security and so much more, ICly, that the Dominion is a horrible place to keep a slave.

At one point talino had a slave sentenced to do one task for assaulting him and she just ran off honestly am extremely in favor of magical slave collars preventing slaves from leaving city limits without permission

Quite honestly most pc slavers have to carry slaves in shackles constantly to prevent escape

I don't feel starting off as a slave should be the only option... I feel it should be an option, however.

Just as we have portals to be an inhabitant, washing up ashore, in the gobsquat, and atop the ziggurat, maybe add another... starting somewhere within the depths of the ziggurat, as a slave, with other delivery quests not available to PCs that start in other areas.

A paper (similar to citizenship papers) can be given by a supervisor, that will make NPCs talk to you differently as well.

I love the idea. It just gives one more avenue for you to pick from.
