Outside soloing quests

Well for some people they have been exiled from the ziggurat. Well there aren't many players that are likely to help them with any of the big quests unless they ran with them. What I was thinking is a few solo quests be put outside the ziggurat. There would be only 6 or 7 solo quests that allow as few people as 1. This would let the exiled player have a better time then hiding for 45 minutes just to find one player to go with them without killing them.

thsi idea is ok. but i preferred it when i was hunted on kelir. the fact the you cant go hunting openly adds to the rp, makes you disguise yourself, hells i even spent soem of my points into bluff so i could speak differently and join in questing with people that wanted to kill me! it added to the fun.

I think one of the guiding principles of the server has been finding ways to get players to work together.  Solo farming is something the staff would probably like to avoid, as it only seems to be used in order to allow new players to farm some starting resources.

You could instead do things like hunt cat hides to trade to others at a loss, creatures that commonly drop treasure like goblin bandits and spitting cobras (don't ask), or players.  Being stuck out in the wilderness need not be boring, although arguably its going to be.

While you should endeavor to play out a character as well, if you are really not having fun you can either attempt to take steps to get back into the Ziggurat in character, or roll up a new one and try to get along a little more.

I'm in favor of a lot more solo content.  It prevents lameness such as avoiding conflict because that can interfere with being in someone's questing group, and it gives something to do when someone is the only one of their level range on.

The risk is dying permanently since you cannot successfully respawn if alone with what killed you there.  For this reason I don't see people doing these lightly, or often enough to be considered "solo farming" which is somehow worse than group farming.

One example is the Efu quest in a farflung part of the server where you could fight a gladiator monster in a difficult environment for a negligible reward of gold and xp.  It was a tough fight, and no one ever did it (except me).  This quest did not get farmed, but it was something to do for exiles, or for when nobody was on, or for when I was the only player out of 20 who wasn't a Montezzi.  One example.

The only "benefit" of the minimum three is that it forces people to quest with the evil mage who killed their family because the alternative is to wander aimlessly around the ziggurat a few times before logging out.

midlevel regular solo quests will remove one of the few remaining reasons most players have to talk to each other at all in the frigging first place.

More to this server than questing you know.

It would be really sad if characters really talked to each other only to go on quests.

Additionally, I don't think labeling others as powergamers is the best way to go.

As much as i enjoy lowbye solos to easily get started, i think mid levels quest should not be available for soloing. It's not this server's idea to promote lvl up in solo, imo.

Remember that while you are exiled, you can still come around in "disguise".

You won't avoid confrontation to lvl up, come back powerful and bash the hells out of the guys that exiled you though.

That's one of the reasons they exiled you in the first place: to cut out your supplies and hope you'll wither out alone in a dangerous place.

The solo quests could give little or no xp, as long as they yielded some supplies and some entertainment.  Main point is, there is seemingly nothing to do unless your lonely exile has a kazillion stealth.

No solo quests

Being exiled is a risk your character took and should pay the price.

Even the solo-quest I built for 3-6, my intentions was that your character would hire or ask for help in doing them... involve others in this way or as a mean of approaching others to develop things into more meaningful stuff.
