When on DM events, the worse thing about being dead is not the XP loss, rather the fact that you miss the event for staring at the servant of kelvemor waiting for someone to send you a "safe" tell.

I thought we could circumbet this by allowing a dead PC to automatically scry the area he/she was killed in should he chose to while in the fuge plane. That way even if you die you an see the event and have fun.

While I would enjoy this immensely, I would have to say that it's probably not the best idea.  When you are staring at the respawn NPC, your PC is unconscious and you should not have such astute knowledge of how things proceed around you.

Agree on that point above, however considering this would be an OOC thing, meataming rule would apply. You do somehting in knowledge of your surrounding, ban.

Many DM events have DMs subduing players rather than outright killing them anyway.

Key word being -many-
DM events with hostile NPCs towards one tend to be kill-> True resurection to avoid stupid NPC behaviour.
