I suggest some areas containing random things like creatures and maybe some very minor random loot be scripted in.  As a PC who wanders the wilderness, it's my experience that there are far more areas that require a specific key than there are of doors that need to be picked open/knock spelled/ plainly unlocked.  perhaps it is just my personal experience, but I feel it might be exciting and fun for everyone to have the areas possible move with resets or contain a bounty-head sometimes, or just plain be empty with some neat rp/setting stuff inside.

Not sure what you're talking about, the server already has plenty of this. Perhaps you're just not looking hard enough.

No, most of the doors out there require a key, and I am guessing just aren't meant to be opened except by DM's for events, or by anyone lucky enough to get a key from DM's. Though there are a number of doors that have DC's and can be unlocked by players, but the former is in the majority.

This is mostly because an area simply doesn't exist behind those doors. Whether it's ruined, sealed off, or whatever else ICly doesn't matter much. I think that a  few random areas (doors around the village, old stones, wilderness) similar to Mort's current system that allowed someone with open lock to enter would be pretty cool though!

Yes.  I think everything is fine as is, I would just like more doors to pick open.  What's a man with OL +20 to do?

Go and explore the server more because there are some amazing things behind tightly locked doors in ruins, you just clearly haven't found them yet. I hope you have stealth! :)
