The information provided in this section was posted to help players develop their characters.  For example, if someone is interested in playing a cleric and wants to find out a little more about a deity's dogma, they could browse through a pantheon to find one that interests them.  Since conflict is a natural way to develop a character's personality, someone may read through these to find out which deities conflict with their character's and build a little of this into their background.

This information is not to be considered common knowledge in the setting.

A half-orc fighter from Baldur's Gate is highly unlikely to have heard of Anhur and would undoubtedly not know he holds the portfolio of conflict among the Mulhorandi gods.  Clerics of Ilmater may be able to pick out the symbol of Loviatar before a commoner, as their god opposes her teachings, but they would have no intimate knowledge of her church.

Please use this information appropriately and try to avoid using it in game with characters that may have no knowledge of other religions from their own or those they have direct contact with in the setting.  If you have any questions about what a character may or may not know about a deity, please contact a DM.
