Francois Crozier - Retainer-Diplomat

I'm still reeling from the event that led to his death, so I'll keep the eulogy short - Francois was intended to be a swashbuckling duelist type, a sailor who was mostly intent on riding out on the open seas one more time.

He never quite accomplished that goal (as a sailor, that is - he took plenty of trips!) but did so much more. Maybe it's the fortuitous time I conceptualized him I have to thank, but I've seen more of this server on Francois than any of my other characters combined. A whirlwind of lore, plots and intrigue pretty much hit him over the head almost every day of his existence.

Secrets? Was Crozier actually a Cyricist? The most I'll say is that he  was generally a man of his word - if he said something, he meant it. He  didn't keep a lot of secrets. He followed a simple moral stricture, was  forced to compromise a few times for the sake of Caermyn convenience,  but other than that? Probably my most noble character so far.

There's a lot I can say about this guy - he dabbled with tons of factions as a diplomat, stood as one of the few honorable Caermyn members, which touched off some great inner-clan rivalries, experienced the Royal Court of Ymph with all it's great, disparate personalities, and I generally had the best time with him that I've ever had on EfU.

I'd like to thank Pentaxius and Ironside for their characters' close interactions, adversarial or not, with Crozier. You guys are wonderful.

Have some pictures! And I'll catch you all in Old Port.

I greatly enjoyed my interactions with Crozier and I look forward to your next characrter Ryan.

Nightshadow

He was great :D

I particularly enjoyed when my Cyricist Bard made you kill that civilian, and got all those other civilians to riot. :)

Good times.

Testy McTryoutshirt

Sir Mudman didn't make it. :(

Good show, still!

Ebok

Crozier made playing Shawn a thousand times more fun. He was very cool to be around.

Ironside

Always awesome times, bud. Makes me regret going on vacation!

Howlando

Very nicely done, it's great to have characters who don't always seek the most violent resolution to a particular conflict.

Aethereal

You should have chosen Zed as the Courtly assistance. I bet you regret it now. :P

Thanks for inviting Ish to the Underdark trip too, very, very proactive play in that regard as it led to this whole story arc I am involved in now. (He would have otherwise just kept staring into the river Tear, never meeting Jora properly and thus never leaving for the Old Port upon amnesiac whim).

It is through Art, and through Art only, that we can realise our perfection.

Random_White_Guy

We had fun on a lot of different PCs.

Way to go :D

Deception

I enjoyed Polvarem's chat with Crozier.

Pentaxius

He was awesome ! A pleasant sight to see a negotiator PC that seeks to mend conflict.

A great bond of friendship was built over time between our PCs. I will fondly remember the drinking horn scene.

sylvyrdragon

Ugh, Selma wanted him to become so much "more".  :(  (Came close to getting you to join the Fey, but you talked your way out of it.  Damn you.)

That's what he specialized in! And yeah, I feel a touch of regret for not getting deeper into the fey plot, it sounded fun!
