There's been a lot of excellent content recently added for crafters on EFU, but last night's discussion of mimics got me thinking...

What if it became possible to brew (perhaps at great expense) every spell? There already exist potions which can't be produced by player characters, such as Cure Critical Wounds, Darkness, and Shield. Now that HAKs are universal, it's surely possible to code their creation. However, I'm more excited by the potential for entirely custom drinkables, zany kits like potions of Fireball, Jump, and Confusion. Can you imagine it?

Really. Please.

Take the time right now to imagine a mad wizard running up to someone and quickly drinking potions of Fireball.

...

Perhaps you're unamused. Perhaps you sternly believe that only non-hostile spells should be potions! Perhaps this isn't worth your time.

Whichever way you feel about this, I don't know what kind of workload this would entail, nor would I be the one processing any of it.

Paha

Perhaps we could imagine some of those crazy ones for comedy effect and absolutely maddening people (Some even do exist out there but no as craftable). However, some specific potions and some things we simply do not want to make available for crafting, because they are too good and we know some people are far more capable in playing the systems to make money, and they would always find a way to make them. That is just how it is.

Hound

Drink a pfa against yourself and start chugging confusion or fear pots until you get everyone nearby you rendered inert and easy pickings.

Pretty broken.

Ha. I should stop with these Suggestion threads.

As if I knew the first thing about design implications, as enthusiastic as I get over my flights of fancy.
