You, yeah you, join Sunpurse.
Why? Because it is is way more fun that whatever you are doing.
I know this because you are here, reading a recruitment post, rather than rocking out in game.
What does that tell you about your life choices? Hmm?
It tells you you should have joined Sunpurse.

Here is my list of good reasons to join:

Mystery.
You don't know what goes behind Sunpurse's closed doors. But here is the thing, we don't know either. Missing heir, curses, shrouded history, hidden vaults and a mysterious maiden. I must have thrown around at least a dozen, detailed, fully referenced, comprehensive theories about what is going on, all of which have since been utterly disproven. If you have a complex conspiracy theory but no basement to conspire in, Sunpurse is for you.

Adventure.
Where is Phelan Sunpurse? No really, where is he? We don't know either. The good news is that unlike some other houses, that means you can pretty much go anywhere and do anything. "Why did I spend the weekend in the Seam of Endless Gratification with those two cuties from Velstra? Err... I was... looking for Phelan..." See how it works? Free pass.

Conflict.
The push and pull of the Houses gives heaps of scope for diplomacy, alliances, back-stabbing, manipulation and slander. Sometimes you will think you have everything under control, but then the delicate diplomatic house of cards you were lovingly building gets knocked down. And then gets stomped on by fellow retainers. And then catches on fire. Good times.

PvP.
We have this thing called the First Law. It says... something about not... bloodshed... something. No one cares. Assassination, brawling in the streets, duels, more duels, dispensary throw-downs, murder duels, back-stabs in the rings and even more duels. You got an itchy trigger finger? We have a place to scratch that itch. Of course, you can do non-conflict characters as well, but you know, why would we try and muscle in on the Tickertown's speciality?

Teamwork.
Are you shy of other players on the server? Do they always seem to be whizzing around doing awesome stuff while you hunt rat tails and make sendings to hang out in the drips? Does the server feel like groups of tight cliques with you on the outside looking in? Fear not, Sunpurse offers you instant cooperation with server newbies and veterans alike. Access to our own Discord channel guarantees regular OOC planning, socialisation and slaps-on-the-wrist from Gippy for metagaming. It is better than I make it sound, honest.

Clear objectives.
Find the heir. End the curse. Bring honour to the house. Dance the diplomatic dance. And don't die. Too easy!

EfU in Hard Mode.
Sounds silly, but I am serious. This shit is hard. You are in opposition to everyone on the server, you wear your faction alignment on your chest all the times, and that faction loot is almost certainly worse that whatever gear you picked up questing last week. I have been attacked for being a Peer in Ticker Town. I have been attacked for being a Peer in the Ponds. I have been attacked for being a Peer in the commons. Everyone outside the Peerage hates you to a greater or lesser extent. But that's alright, because you can band together with the other Peers and... oh wait, no, most of them hate you as well. Come to think of it half the retainers in Sunpurse probably hate you too. If you want to pick the weakest, least popular house in an already weak and unpopular area, Sunpurse is for you.

Who is suited?
Anyone. Sunpurse considers all its retainers as pretty expendable, so, you know, step up to the plate. Also, I recommend a Paladin if you want to be the least popular member of the least popular house in the least popular ward. Why settle for less?

Conclusion.
In the time it took you to read this post, you could have already done a Sunpurse interview in game, and been half way to collecting the 900 coins you need to enter. Well, perhaps not, but you probably could at least have sorted out which hair and tattoos your new, awesome, about-to-join Sunpurse character will have in the character creation menu. So get to it! (Also, no tattoos, what were you thinking? This is the Peerage for god's sake!)

I love cats

Sunpurse really needs some love and some PCS they are an awesome house.
