Broken Transition - "Deep Within The Machine"

Today myself and Halcron went into the 'arena' area of the Deep Within The Machine section.

There is a 'Sealed Grate' that Halcron unlocked with a scroll of Knock and it unlocked, but the transition seems broken and the hatch just opens and closes repeatedly.
