Sir Wilhelm of Rivers reminds me of my father

I couldn't stand my father

Despite it all, he strikes a sternness that is difficult to ignore or disobey

Maruthas looks more orc than man, but he is no orc, just as he is no man

I misjudged him

He is a simpleton, but he is wise, and the strangest, by far, half orc I have ever met

I've already begun to develop some kind of friendship with him, and I feel it's my duty to be true to him

Sir Wilhelm mentioned a Royal Wizard, I should find him and learn from him

This city is crumbling and it makes no feeble attempt to hide that fact

It is ugly and privy to monstrous things

Even the so called Ponds, a beautiful garden, is violated by the smell of the Druthers and the Drips and the many thousand follicles of kobold droppings

When will this torment end

Can it be made to look as I wish it to look?

Can this city be beautiful, glorious?

As all things, beauty is not always what the eye can see

Planar sickness

My incantations cause it on myself and others

They're threatening my kind, my colleagues

What if they kill me?

I don't want to die

How dare they try to extort me of my hard earned money? What are they, paupers? I was a pauper once, not anymore. This city is mad.

I delved into a wizard's estate with a few companions, and they decided to abandon the task all together when it proved far too invoking of pandemonium and destruction. I saw it with my own eyes, I do not blame them at all.

Arcadian Oak + Demonic Leech + Bay Leaf + Electric Incantation = Summoning Powder

Ritual failed, was ill prepared for the experiment

I read his notes, or what was left.

He destroyed most of his studies, which is very strange of a colleague.

The Ostwald Circle

His studies seemed to circulate around a bizarre and potent ritual of conjuration where even the uninitiated could make use of it

My greed got the best of me, and I was unable to recover the rest of his writings on the Ostwald Circle

I hear the Court Wizard is a master conjurer, I will consult him at last of my findings

Today, I must lead a band to Bleeder's Alley and retrieve the key to the next ring

A promise that has bought my place in a ringrunning crew making for ninety-four

I feel like I'm running too quickly- not giving myself time to process everything

What if I fall? What if I fail?

She called my magic unimpressive

I lost the last thing I have to remember you by

Will I ever see you again?

Feels like it's been years already, and I swear I've only been in this city for a few days

The spells of slow & haste; warping time and essence

What happened to the Clocktower in Ticker Square?

Count Wilhelm and I argued over a book of shadows he wanted to sell to someone in Ticker Square, but decided not to

I picked it up instead and he had Beodda demand it so he could destroy it

I told them I simply wished to know the name of the buyer; who would be interested in such a thing?

If there is anything noble in this city, it is a wizard's pursuit to keep his reputation intact

It is mages like this mysterious buyer who sully our name in this city

I made a breakthrough in the spell of unraveling; it is not what I imagined nor what I expected

A man almost died for my actions

To keep pursuing the ends to the means, or follow good conscience?

Rusty said we're all dead, anyway; I will either prove him wrong or prove him right

What is there to lose in a prison?

Accounts of Planar Sickness

Caused by unfocused arcane magic and exposure to planar fragments; spell of unravelling releases massive amounts of planar radiation

Major symptoms; delirium, hallucination, abnormal pigment of skin, rainbow syndrome? (to say, accompanying aura of every color in the rainbow)

Not yet confirmed symptoms;

- Reduced mental capacity
- Benefits? Boons?

Indeed, something about planar sickness appears to attribute to an increased magical affinity

In joking manner, let us call it magical and/or planar LIBIDO

Count Wilhelm was like a father to me

He would always be right there to scold me when I said something or did something brash

When I accused the Nephezar of tampering with dark magic, he was right there, hand on my shoulder

A firm grip, and a quiet tone, "Not now, Isiden,"

Then when? You're just like my father, Count, on your holier-than-thou mission to do good

You had friends who cared for you, friends who needed you, no, need you. And you fight in some tournament to your death? For what?

Was the sword not enough? You needed more?

You weren't supposed to die like that.

Bao and I spent hours on Silverspike

We fought to pass the time, and for a moment, that mountain was an aurora of magical explosion and the clashing of steel

We sat, eventually, side by side in the calm night sky

Waiting for rain that never came like thirsty prairie dogs in a drought

Or hyenas in a prowling desert on the hottest day of the cycle

We fell asleep, and when I awoke, I awoke to the sensation of rain hitting my face in such a violent way, it was only to say, 'Wake up! Wake up!'

It was to be my way into the Wizard Warrens
