Karmac the Unyielding

I felt like a change of pace and that it was time for me to play something that wasn't a rogue or a wizard or a monk, and most importantly something that was illiterate so I wouldn't bomb the forums. I styled his path after my favorite NPC and that big badass fellow you all now and love from chapter 1 to chapter 3: Gaeseric the Unyielding. A big fat savage man who didn't parse words.

Karmac was my attempt to bring a human element to the Lycanthropic curse. A lot of werewolves for better or ill end up being heavily influenced by the deity Malar and rampagaing murderbeasts. While that's well and good I wanted to throw some substance behind that notion. He had a rich backstory, a lot of past, and there was no end to the compassion he held for those who were his family-

The rest of the world could burn for all he cared.

The Uthgar are one of my favorite pantheons solely for the fact that it can so easily create 13 different plots and aspects. So many tribes, totems, and aspects. If you want to play a savage wildling look up Uthgar. So good.

Now for the stuff you guys care about. ~screenshots~

My first day on Karmac I decided as a level 2 barbarian I should be out there doing -INTENSE- things. Like licking Death Mushrooms.

Karmac did not like rituals

His cave was a happenin' place for the short while it was in business.

The first time another werewolf shifted. In the middle of fighting minotaurs. It was a very emotional moment for Karmac.

Ransom of a captured woman.

And finally my favorite piece of loot and the story behind it.

I found this stein my first day in the ruins of lower and we went on a lot of adventures together. Everywhere Karmac went for his Journal updates he'd fill it with bottles of liquor (He had everything from Drow Azure Wine to surface wines and more, he loved his meat and liquor) and just start shouting at things.

This was his first trip to Cazbash and I felt it warranted a journal entry. He got drunk with a dead beholder and after about 15 minutes of RP he then got mad when it didn't laugh at his jokes so he beat it up even though it was dead, because hey that's karmac..

Probably my favorite shot from the PC. In reaction the DM proceeded to pause the game and drop beholders on us yelling "INSOLENCE!" He liked to spit and pee on things.

In the end Karamc spit off more than he could chew.

Special thanks to all involved with the PC, from those who were my foes to those who were my limited friends. Also to AMB for gushing like a fangirl over his fat belly and beard, Lyle for throwing me challenges to make the Underdark scarier than I could have ever imagined, and to Kindle. Sorry the crash happened so we couldn't have our epic samurai standoff outside the Spire.

What? RWG, your brief stint in the Stewards was awesome and too short. Well done, wish it would have been longer.

granny

I only interacted with Karmac a few times but each time was certainly enjoyable. I'm glad I got a good sized session with him before he died. Our cave chat was really fun.

A really interesting character. The wilds will be different knowing he's not out there in the Spire.

Torrance

Fantastic character that got a lot of people together, to eat meat and throw boulders.

A shame he's now dead :(

I never got my story =/

I totally did not expect Karmac to die any time soon. Especially not before the big slaughtersprees. For sadness. He was and always will be the model of an ideal man in the miserable scraps of this world!

You son of a bitch sorry you died

Vault Shrike

All of my interactions with Karmac were laced with tension, and things were bound to come to trading claws and silver blades before... server crash.

It's a pity that the fight wasn't realized, and that he met his end before a knock-down drag-out fight. He was a powerful impact on how the wilds were perceived!

Aefar

My little wolfie! And I had almost tamed him. I didn't expect his death so soon too.

Pandip

you are the fucking worst i swear to god

TheBigX

NOOOOOOO!.   Too soon.  Oleif will miss his pack leader.  Fun ride RWG.  Thanks.
