Currently, it seems that the Potion Cauldron does not take the modified maximum that the Brewer's Elixir displays before you begin brewing. It seems to at least take the modified gp away, but it will not reflect it before you brew. So this will result in someone who is say, doing a large order and cannot cover the entire unmodified cost, despite the modified cost being affordable.

Two things would help, if the Brewer's Elixir displayed both the modified and unmodified cost of a potion, then if the Potion Cauldron took into account the newly modified amount. Not entirely sure how the math on the back end works, so there might be some flawed logic. The Elixir change would be highly helpful in any case however.
