Hoping this droll little missive finds you in good health, friend, because I fear the Gate of Rose's present condition leaves a tad to be desired.

Never fear, though, it will be repaired post-haste by our skilled Balestriere-Smiths. However, it pains me to say that additional funds were not held in reserve for unforeseen eventualities. Eventualities such as "Astronomers damaging a  major defensive lynchpin of Ephia's Well". I'm sure you can imagine my surprise and disappointment when your name was raised as the responsible party by more than a handful of The Well's adventurers, replete with written statements.

The materials and labour required amount to a tad more than One Thousand Dinari, but I'm happy to round it down for the sake of a friend.

As you might imagine I am most concerned by these allegations. You reference, quite correctly, how out of character they should be for a dutiful servant of Ephia's Well as you know me to be. Much less a Voiced citizen.

Could you please arrange for copies of these written statements to be forwarded to me at Eagle's Mount that I might review them and get to the bottom of these allegations?

Your prompt response is most appreciated. The good Nadiri Cosine has already been provided written copies of the witness statements. I'm sure by the time you receive this response, he'll have provided them to you. I imagine you might be upset should he not.

I understand, too, that with your recent promotion it's likely you may find yourself too busy to resolve this matter; as such, I'm happy to raise it at the next Assembly. If you lack the funds yourself, perhaps they can be found amongst The Astronomer's regular portion?
