A document sent to Tokori Koji

In the auspicious year of IY 7788, on this blessed Iyar 13th, a solemn accord is hereby penned between the distinguished parties:


1. AMOUNT AND NATURE

The esteemed Tokori Koji, as Balladeer of the Last Hearth, graciously concedes and acknowledges a financial obligation amounting to 20,000 dinari, payable to the venerable Pyramid of Ephia's Well.

The aforementioned indebtedness arises from his leading the Balladeers of the Lost Hearth to the City of Kha'esh to do violence in pursuit of Ariel Hysair. Such violence was not sanctioned by the Vizier of Kha'esh, and was construed as an act of profound disrespect and war. The Legate of Ephia's Well, Akna Ymir, was compelled to intervene diplomatically and financially to secure the safety of the Citadel of Ephia's Well, and maintain friendly and open relations with the Vizier of Kha'esh.

2. GUARANTEE BY THE BALLADEERS OF THE LAST HEARTH

The Balladeers of the Last Hearth, assuming the mantle of guarantors, hereby pledge their allegiance to secure the reimbursement of the debt on behalf of Tokori Koji.

In the event of Tokori Koji's default on the prescribed payments or his demise, the Balladeers of the Last Hearth shall gallantly shoulder the burden of debt.

3. REPAYMENT TENETS

Tokori Koji, in accordance with the celestial alignment, solemnly pledges to repay the debt through weekly stipends of 5,000 dinari, commencing on this sacred Iyar 13th, IY 7788, until the entire sum is fulfilled.

The funds shall be dutifully remitted to the Pyramid of Ephia's Well, through direct payment to the Legate of the Second Seat, a Scribe of the Sublime Garden, or an agent of the Second Seat.

4. DEFAULT PROVISIONS

In the lamentable event of Tokori Koji's fiscal default, the Balladeers of the Last Hearth shall be promptly apprised by the venerable Pyramid of Ephia's Well.

In the instance of default, the Balladeers of the Last Hearth, in their magnanimity, shall embrace the responsibility of the debt, standing steadfast in the face of obligation.

5. REPAYMENT BY THE BALLADEERS OF THE LAST HEARTH

Should the vicissitudes of fortune necessitate the Balladeers of the Last Hearth to expiate the debt due to Tokori Koji's lapse or transcendence, the debt shall be meticulously extracted from their communal allotment at the Assembly, persisting until the entire indebtedness is quelled.

6. GOVERNING LAW

This agreement shall be governed in accordance with the venerable laws of Ephia's Well.
