Hello.

We spoke a bit before but you're a busy man.  I still seek a master to apprentice under and it's spoke around Ephias Well that you're the best.

How can I prove myself worthy to apprentice under you?  I'd like to learn the ways of engineering and tinkering.  That is if you wish to take someone under your tutorage.

Your friend,
Fergus Greaseglop

Runic

[A letter, delivered by a fat and haughty hen, who plucks a piece of Fergus's lunch from the plate before absconding. The letter is written on freshly conjured parchment, smelling of a newly opened book.]

Dear Master Greaseglop,

Apologies for the lapse in communication. My injuries heal slowly, and require constant maintenance.

All metals start in their base form as ore. None are worthy of much until they meet the flame of the forge and the face of the anvil. I do not require you to prove worthy, only willing to be as the ore, willing to change and shape.

I will call for you soon, and the lessons shall begin. Bring your mind, and willingness to learn. That is all that is asked.
