To the Fourth Legion: Upcoming Trial-By-Combat

To the Janissaries of the Sultan's Fourth Legion,

The trial-by-combat of Knud Skargrimsson and Ivar Skargrimsson is scheduled for Illul 19th, IY 7789. The combat terms, as agreed upon by Champion-Balladeer Asherias Myl and the Skargrimssons, are as follows:

• Champion-Balladeer Asherias Myl and Balladeer Student Kasu Ortiz versus Knud Skargrimsson and Ivar Skargrimsson
• To submission

Be prepared to act accordingly and with extreme prejudice if the Skargrimssons violate the above terms. Additionally, while some others may look forward to this trial-by-combat as a spectacle event, others may wish to interfere and cause havoc. Please take the appropriate measures necessary to prepare for such.

For reference, the legal terms of the trial-by-combat are as follows:

Should Champion-Balladeer Myl and Balladeer-Student Ortiz win, the Skargrimssons shall:

• Swear an oath to the Axe, the Mother, and the Wroth that they shall never again violate the laws of Ephia's Well*
• Pay restitution of 35,000 dinari for their crimes. Paid in dinari and/or items from their belongings, if the Skargrimssons do not possess enough to pay this restitution immediately, they are to be indebted for the remaining amount, collection and item value shall be managed and determined by the Fourth Legion*
• Be indebted to the government of Ephia's Well to undergo/participate in one quest of our choosing
• Be remanded into the custody of Frostport whom shall ensure the Skargrimssons abide by these terms, less Frostport severe all association with the Skargrimssons

*Note, once the Skargrimssons fulfill these two terms, they are to be treated as tolerated visitors of Ephia's Well.

Should the Skargrimssons win, the Skargrimssons shall:

• Be absolved of all current crimes
• Be cleared of all current bounties
• Be cleared of any other status or conditions that prevents them from being people in good standing with Ephia's Well

I am aware that some Soldiers of the Fourth, particularly Soldier Ibrahim Al-Dawla, facilitated some communication that furthered the agreement of the above terms. Thank you for your fine work.
