Bilby's is one of the most lag-sensitive quest on the server. Even when the player are paying close attention to the action icons to the top-left, traps might still be accidentally triggered in corner cases during a sudden lag-onset, which resets the current position of the character. However, the character still follows the velocity direction prior to the reset. Tripping traps is inevitable in this case. Reducing the penalty will help those people with constant connection problems. And since there is no lack of deadly traps therein, reducing penalty won't result in a sudden spike of the total score on average.

For example, by giving penalty of one for every three traps tripped in the quest, a character who tripped four will suffer only a penalty of one instead of two.

It will also make it alot easier to get a good score and the good loot.
I support this fully.

A good score won't necessarily land you a good piece of loot.

Knight Of Pentacles

It's certainly very disheartening to lose half your score to traps that shouldn't of been triggered.

If there is lag, it can happen despite any solutions, and if you use mouse especially, yeah, it's possible. Whether server lag incurs, or you on your own end have lag on your connection. I doubt we'll be making any great changes to this. It is and always will be an issue in nwn, but there's clear design purpose to how it is, and it has not stopped people from succeeding thus far, even if there obviously are those frustrating moments.

Still wish there was a way to make it ~not impossible to get 100% in some cases, due to the random positioning of the boxes blocking off one or more of the gems.
