The Myconid 'growth' system could factor in existing Myconid PCs. The more Myconid PCs in the area, the more xp you gain. This would encourage group applications or 'waves' of Myconid PCs, which is pretty cool.

Mycellem Roads- The Roots of Fungi are known to stretch over miles in some instances, and it would be cool if the Myconid had their own custom travel system where we traveled the fungus roads to existing Myconid communities throughout the Underdark, or to our lair given a certain location.

Nutrient Absorbtion- Myconids can absorb nutrients from players that are presently dead, returning a percentage of hp, stat buffs, and possible XP gain.

'Pretend to be a Fungus' able to change your model to that of a fungus found throughout the underdark temporarily. While it won't change the fact you can be clicked, bashed, or attacked, it'd be clear you would look no different than any other mushroom that people otherwise observe. You'd be immobile and helpless, but if you're being pursued, it would make for an interesting get away technique.

Also, let us get the same dialogue druids get for certain mushroom clumps in the Crossroads. :)

Would be cool to see player corpses being able to be turned in for lair points.  

There's also a tradition in canon myconid lore of them being able to infect bones with a certain sort of fungi that animates them into creatures similar to yellow musk zombies.  Certainly low priority but it'd be neat to see these as lair guardians or something.

Some other ideas-

Myconids get a bonus to the EFUSS skill 'farming.' Dwarves a get a bonus to mining and smithing, it makes 100% sense for a race devoted to growing things to have a racial bonus to doing so.

A bonus to Herbalism- the Half-Elf race, on top of -2 intelligence, makes our poor myconids starved for skill points. A small boost here should shore up any Myconids intent on discovering the fungal discoveries of the world.

A bonus to tumble or climbing- similar complaint to the above, when we initially get skill points, we start with 4 more than we do on the other levels, and it would be nice to have some help with the climbing, seeing as we cannot carry around a grapple gun or the druid equivalent at all (I know there is stuff for us, but these are single use items, and we do run out, as I do not know presently how to make them...) and climbing is pretty key to surviving in the UD. -2 strength not withstanding.

Granted, I am playing a cleric, so I am already starved for skill points and efuss ranks. Could grant us an additional efuss rank or two at each level

I've played more myconid than anyone on the server so far, I think. Your first post - awesome, awesome, and more awesome.

Right now, the activities of a myconid aren't that different from most other PCs, mechanically speaking. That... might not make much sense unless you know how myconids and their lairs work, granted.

Your second post, well, PM sent about it. The DMs and myco players will know what I'm talking about here - these are already considered. The option in the 2nd post may be better than the current way of dealing with this issue, frankly... but the DMs have addressed these issues. It's simply a matter of which of these is better.

Great to hear it! With only a few myco players so far, hopeful the interest will swell with the hype of such cool things coming down the mycellum road.

"Mycellum Roads" is not necessary.

Absorbing Nutrients from dead players (maybe even permitting some large number of dead PCs be a alternate for absorbing another Myconid to advance life forms?) would be OK.

A Script to turn into a placeable (that can be bashed/destroyed) would be OK but probably complicated (the PC would actually need to be set to cutscene-invisible with a special placeable spawned next to it... or something)

Tree Genasi tree stride could be fixed and cleaned up to work as "Mushroom Stride"

Being able to make spore-controlled "zombie" things would be neat but probably time-consuming to set up.

Small bonuses to climbing/Herbalism/Farming would be all right, the loot items are a bit of a workaround on my part.

Weapons won't happen due to the model's limitations.
