Bug Reports / Information inconsistency
August 12, 2014, 11:31:14 AM
Not really a bug, but the ranger perks in this thread are inconsistent with the ones in this thread.

Suggestions / Parry Buff
July 16, 2014, 02:24:25 AM
Put plainly, parry is awful, I think it could stand to be improved, perhaps by every 8 or so parry a character would gain 1 ac.

Half the AC bonus for a character using a two-handed weapon and will only apply if a character isn't using a shield.

Therefore, a character with 32 parry and using two weapons (such as a rapier) would get 4 ac, and a character with 32 parry using a greatsword would be 2 ac.

This is just to make Parry more viable.

Robert Tilven, probably my longest lived character to date, that said he lasted a month and three weeks. (Which is a long time for my characters!)

Robert was a very angry man full of hate for the Spellguard, for reasons he didn't like to talk about.
He also hated bandits, I wonder why?
[hide=Backstory]Robert was living with his family of four in Baldur's Gate with his wife and two sons when the Darkening struck. The family ended up fleeing the city as the increasingly terrible rumors of the Dread Empire's armies drifted from rumour to reality. During their desperate escape bandits, desperate and hungry, attacked them and his youngest son was mortally wounded. Robert was eventually forced to end his life rather than leave him to suffer until death. After a harrowing and brutal bid for survival the pair found the portals to Sanctuary. Unfortunately his son failed the enthrallment test and was quickly and brutally executed at the very gates of salvation. To this day he harbors a bitter grudge against the Spellguard for the death of his last remaining son and wants only to escape Toril and all the bad memories it holds for him - whatever the personal cost.[/hide]

At first I didn't really enjoy questing, because I had horrible health rolls very often, I was in fact 20hp off my max.
But then I got level 9.

I don't have any good action screenshots, save one.
I lived an Ordinant's dream and once fought something very powerful.

[hide=What could it be?]
[/hide]

I had pretty great AC.

Now it's time for loot, I had some really good loot and probably the best was my faction armour, well except my shield.

[hide=Scimitar #1] Thanks to D_I for running the event that gave me this scimitar.

[/hide]

[hide=Shield] I got this from an ally IG, for a very cheap price.

[/hide]

[hide=Scimitar #2] I can't give the description to this scimitar because I got it off a quest and I don't want to ruin the quest for people and potentially get this lovely piece of loot removed from my obit.

[/hide]

[hide=Shadowy Orb] I don't have screenshots of this, but thank you to Caster for the lovely bit of loot.
[/hide]

Now I wonder what I will roll next.

edit: Thanks to BoM for letting me suicide.

Bug Reports / Watchman background Broken
June 24, 2014, 11:43:16 AM
The Watchman background isn't giving my character, Robert Tilven, the level 5 bonus to the Watchman background: Cleave.
I have reset the perk several times, relogged and changed areas. I however am receiving both the level 1 and level 8 bonuses.

Character: Robert Tilven

Well, he lasted one day but he was fun!

I doubt anyone really met him, but here's a screenshot of the gang.

And here's a screenshot of Raulf's real form, full of malice, rage and bloodlust.
(Ramirez is there too.)

Surprisingly I met my death in a very satisfying PvP ending, and cheers to Necro for being a good sport about it and asking my permission for all the nasty stuff.

I don't have any screenies for Merrick, so I'll leave you with this, his last conversation.

Ravane was his panther, whom was killed in the PvP as well.

If you do the loner prelude and are below level 5 when you die you cannot respawn, it doesn't give a reason why and the dialogue with the Ether Spirit just cuts out without any indication.

I assume this is a bug because the starting area gave no indication there would be no respawning.

Bug Reports / Ripple Kelp not acting as food.
April 29, 2014, 10:07:07 AM
I'm under the impression it's meant to act as food because it's got a "Use on self" property that all other foods have.

Is this a bug?

Screen Shots & Obituaries / Arren Nimbletoes
April 10, 2014, 02:23:39 AM
I can't believe I'm doing this to another character but it seems I just can't enjoy rogues to their full potential and I just burn out after a week, without further ado, I am retiring Arren.

Li'l bit o' Backstory
[Hide=Backstory] Born in Amn, Arren watched his parents who were both tinkers, inventors and engineers do their job until he first felt wanderlust, at the age of twenty he left to find riches and adventure and returned a year later, with a scar on his back that he doesn't talk about given to him by a Dire Tiger.

When the sun was swallowed, Arren's parents were out on business travelling to Suzail and Arren considered them dead and left, wandering and moving unseen to avoid everything the surface had to offer, he then made his way to a portal of Sanctuary.
[/Hide]

I'll admit he had momma issues and loved womanizing.

See ya next time folks.

I know they used to give far too much, but 30 coins isn't really worth the effort hunting down the problems and possibly expending potions to fight off whatever's down in the Machine.

I suggest that the reward gets bumped up to its exp reward, making it 50 gold and 50 exp.

I also suggest that fixing several problems would stack, so you don't fix 10 problems and get 30 gold for it.

Lemme tell you a little about Trefur Carrick.
[hide=Backstory]Trefur came from the village of Rumbold, south of Proskur in Cormyr and followed the teachings of Tempus, like his father and his father before him and so on.

After the Darkening his village was utterly demolished by the oncoming Dread while he was out hunting with several men from his village, he never discovered his wifes corpse and grieved for several days. Eventually he swore an oath to Tempus that he would destroy every Aberrant that was within his power to destroy.

After tracking a small Dread forces for a while, he attacked them and was outnumbered and outmatched by them and the men he was with were killed brutally, and Trefur himself was injured, he staggered his way towards a portal and found himself in Sanctuary, immediately setting off on his personal quest.
[/hide]

And so ends another character, in the same way my last went, Beholders.

It was fun playing someone so obsessed with revenge, and it would've been cool to see him develop more as a character, but you can't pick where you die!

Don't really have any super awesome screenies.

[hide=At the gates of the enemy!]

I wonder what I'll do next!

Bug Reports / Boldblade Truffle
March 22, 2014, 04:39:26 PM
The Boldblade Truffle (Magic Weapon CL2 Single Use) doesn't work on the hak weapons.
#14
He died doing what he loved (second) most, killing Aberrants.
Despite landing the killing blow he rolled a 1 fortitude save against being turned to stone and is now a handsome rock ornament.

Worth it.

Now for the part you've all been waiting for, SCREENIES!
I actually took some!

[hide="Before he was exiled"]

[/hide]

[hide="The Drow gang's (almost) all here!"]

[/hide]

[hide="Kicking ass in the Badlands"]

He actually got poisoned way too much.
[/hide]

[hide="Looking out over the Lowerdark"]

[/hide]

[hide="The man himself in his last few half-hours"]

[/hide]

[hide="Morick, the last person to see him alive, saying goodbye."]

[/hide]

Y'know I think he lasted a fair amount of time!

Since creation, this character has logged on and off 103 times.
The character has spent 4 days, 14 hours, 31 minutes, and 41 seconds online.

By the way he was my highest level character at level 8 with only 5500 to go to 9.

Bug Reports / Director Kingsley is Gould.
February 21, 2014, 03:18:56 PM
Minor issue, but Kingsley's sign has Gould's name in it.
Unless I'm just really really misreading it.

Screen Shots & Obituaries / Garrett Goldtongue
February 10, 2014, 02:41:19 AM
Well, he was my first legitimate Rogue ever in NwN, pureclass and whatnot.
I don't like to say that I rage-quitted, but knowing that I'd lose all my hardwork by respawning would crush me utterly.

So, I'm retiring him and it was an absolute blast playing him with all you guys and it was awesome playing the person that was meant to be an outcast but made so many friends.

[hide=Friiiiends]

[hide=The Lowerdark is scary]

Sorry for the lack of Screenshots, I'll endeavour to get more on my next characters.

Bug Reports / Helping Dogshit
January 25, 2014, 05:24:11 AM
Merobolt refuses to take the Sack of Salvage from me, the conversation goes through smoothly but it says my party has already closed the quest.

I think it may have something to do with me failing the persuade roll. (I almost got it too!)

He is dead now, have no worthy screenshots.

It was a good run and thank you everyone that made him enjoyable!

Bug Reports / Slp'slp'glrpt'ashlpt
December 27, 2013, 02:06:01 PM
The abovementioned name is that of a giant slime that can be sacrificed to, it is mentioned nowhere what can be sacrificed, only 'corpse points'.

I have attempted to give it many different kind of corpses, rat meat, rothe meat, worm meat, PC corpse that was found in the low road (And the player offline, most likely because it was a Goblin.) and the type of goblin corpse used in summoning.

Out of all these corpses, it only accepts the rat meat as a sacrifice.
I do not have any screenshots to back this up, however it is true.

Bug Reports / Unpreditable Sorcerer Level 5 Bonus
December 13, 2013, 08:54:58 AM
I've reached level 5 and apparently as a level 5 unpredictable sorcerer my 'Flame Weapon' spell gives random elements each time it's casted.

I've casted it about six times, three times on my summoned 'Shelgarn's Persistant Blade' and three times on players, using different weapons each time.
It only gave a fire VFX and fire damage.
