Title: Character signature and general graphics request thread

Arc's Status: Not Taking Requests
If Arc is not taking requests, feel free to still post, another might still do it.

A lot of the people on EfU are clever graphics designers and know all about where to find good fonts for character signatures to use in the letters and notes forum, free use vector components and how to put them together into logos, all that.

But it was brought up that for those who don't have such talents, it can feel like a OOC disadvantage to many things.

So- heres a thread to request graphics of all types. Character Signatures, Faction logos, Character Portraits, etc.

The rules are simple: Make a request, with the following details for a signature:

Feel free to PM me or another designer with any private requests you'd rather not post publicly for IC spoiler reasons, just make sure you tell us it's a spoiler in the description.

General style of Graphic: Dwarven, runes or runic stylings. Should look as dwarven as possible.

As for the Ordinant signatures, I wanted to do something kinda special/unified, as every current Ordinant requested one.

I felt it'd be fittingly creepy/eerie if every Ordinant had almost the exact same signature, so first I designed a logo for the Society of the Ordered Mind (feel free to use it for anything!):

A sigil for the two schools of the Auxiliary  (War and Engineering) and a general sigil for the Auxiliary as a whole.  Red and Black, Metallic,  Retrotronics themes.  Symbols: Machine parts, tools, electricity for the School of Engineering.  Sword and shields, military symbols, fire and flame for the School of War.  Ultimately just do whatever you think is appropriate.

Take your time.  Doing these sort of things in your own free time I imagine is less than ideal for you.  People need to be appreciative of free things.  That aside I can possibly help some of you with more simple requests though they wouldn't be nearly as high a quality as Arc's work.

I'm still not entirely sure what you mean by style- can you link me a picture to better demonstrate what you mean? I'm very deeply confused and not sure where to start with this one.

For the sigils: Are these just logos, or are they made out of something?

For the stamps: Made of wax, or something else? The colors and the wax seem to conflict, so I'm guessing you mean something else then I'm thinking of.

As for the stamp, it could be wax or a simple colored ink. Might be easier to use a bronze-ish sort of color scheme, but do whatever you're comfortable with!

Moonlighter, if you could see to doing a Spellguard one and two for the Spellguard Auxiliary (one for War and one for Engineering) that would be ace.

Would need to be formal / retro / steampunk. Likely have a cog in there somewhere.

Spellguard Auxiliary War would be machinist but with swords/warhammer pand such, Engineering would be hammer and tongs perhaps?

All would be red and black as main theme colours.

Hey Arc,

   Great work, every logo I've seen you put out is awesome.  I'd like a new one for the Scrapper Cooperative (Nothing against your original one, Crumpy, it just doesn't feel fitting anymore).  Steampunk, of course;  Maybe something that looks like it was built from Scrap - functional, but far from streamlined.  Or, maybe something based on a faulty electrical circuit?  Or a something with a crowbar or monkey wrench?  Whatever you feel is appropriate would be great, just throwing some ideas out.  I'd like for us to be able to use it in signatures.

I'll buy you a steam game if/when you ever get it done.

Sorry, dropped the ball a bit there, but getting back on the horse now. Logo-design requires much more detail and work, and so I got overwhelmed. I have updated the first post with a new form for logos, please provide AS MUCH DETAIL AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE for logos.

Signatures have not changed.

As so many PCs have been retired, anyone who has an outstanding request that is not done, please repost in this thread using the correct form and I will get to it soon.

Sorry for the lapse in activity! All graphics should be completed quickly for a bit now.

The Spellguard ones look great. A couple tweaks if possible:

Can we have them smaller (aim was to have the on the bottom of IG letters as "seals" like the Ordinant ones).

Secondly the back cogs on the first two don't show up very clearly on the forums black background, can they be stylized red like the last one please?

Relating to Monasteries and Rustic is a hard one, as Monasteries are famous for their excessively fancy and fanciful typography. However, I tried to strike a balance, capturing a bit of the monastral penning and the simple ruralness.

Was thinking of some cool graphics for my faction post page. something along the lines of the symbol of moander with thorned vines all over it. A rotting hand with a jawed mouth on the palm center, the nails would be sharper, and the rotting thorned vines would be wrapping about the fingers, but not all over the place, just a few. Of course, feel free to get creative ^_^ and big enough to be the heading of my post! And if you do have time... "The Circle Of Unending Blight" In the same fashion you wrote noah's siggy as a seperate thing to go above the picture would be amazing.. i understand im asking a lot of work here so whenever you have the time, in no hurry!

Basically I'd like to take the style of the top image, but redesign it to look more like the bottom (in that there needs to be a candle over an eye with a triangle iris). Holy symbol of deneir but made to look more like an in game parchment or scrawl of some kind. I really like the coloration and style of the top image (credit goes to Capricious for the original top image).

I just really want a more old, parchment style image that doesn't look so terribly digitally rendered.

"Glowing" text might also capture the theme you're looking for. I'm not sure how I feel about this font, the "L" has a queer elongation that rapidly spends its appeal. A red gauss blur is easy to apply to any other you have in mind, however.

As a side note, I have a template to make any ordinant signatures, that whole "creepy unified" look is wonderful after all, so any current ordinants who would like one in the style of all the other ordinants I've done, its virtually no work for me at all to do one for you.

Lately PM-based private requests have far outstepped public requests in popularity. This is of course fine! I would ask, however, that all requests be directly EfU related (If you need a graphic for a non-efu related thing, I suggest /r/picrequests (//%22http://www.reddit.com/r/picrequests/%22), where I also do work.) and use the format highlighted in the first post. I'm more then happy to do private requests at any time, but the format highlighted in the first post makes my life /much/ easier and provides details I need.

The full signature would be "Ordinant Torrick Candelau", with the 'O' in 'Ordinant' featuring some sort of eye-based iconography. Torrick is a very neat person, so his writing should be very neat as well. Nothing too specific, because I trust your work. Lemme know if you NEED me to be more specific. :)

Characterized in MS Paint by a local artist, I received a 100x100 pixel masterpiece. Note the attention to detail in selecting the "Son of Man" as a source, which is an image I've used elsewhere as a profile and ties appropriately into my long history of smurfing. The heart, bright red, replaces the formerly "green" apple of the original, exposing the implication of Eros or perhaps Agape in the text of my name. Further, the red tie is in a diamond knot, signifying my current Gnomish character. A dark violet background completes the piece, bringing together the red and the blue on a now neutral background, perfect for fitting into EfU's standard forum themes.

Orange eyes, Black Fur, would be my recommendation - House colors.
