Suggestions / Re: 'Lizard Scales' Monk Stance
January 18, 2022, 01:29:27 AM
I think all AC applied on the character itself becomes dodge AC. Which is part of the unintentional reason why old Duelist which had +2 Deflection AC (read Dodge AC) was so good. That is why the stance applies it on the armor and gives in turn then +2 Armor bonus.

It is meant to be a lesser version of mage armor that you can learn and use if need be. So it is working entirely as intended.

It could be restructured to instead provide +2 Natural AC by applying it to an item in the Amulet slot (if I remember correctly) or perhaps the creature skin; and such a suggestion has its appeal. But as Tala has written it is unlikely someone takes a look on monk stances.

Suggestions / Re: Fighter- Dual wielder perk

Yes, you have found a bug.

Attack bonus effect on off-hand does not stack with item attack bonus (temporary or permanent). On-hand probably has the same problem. Misc/all does not, otherwise bless would be affected as well.

I don't think this is a bug we can fix.

It is not. It is an attack increase effect on the off-hand modifier. Put on the character. It is similar to bless and other such spells.

The +2 attack bonus for off-hand stacks with other attack bonuses. Tested just now with bless and aid, happy to test again if you think this is wrong. All attack bonus effects stack, which most if not all the perks use.

The perk usage should not stack with flame weapon as it is basically a free flame weapon.

You have two options when it comes to dual wielding:

1) two weapons
2) double-sided weapon

The perk effect reflects these two choices. Flame weapon would apply to both ends on a double-sided weapon, but for two weapons it would give one side flame weapon and the other +2 deflection.  Both very good bonuses.

This perk has seen some of its inherent qualities lessened over time. Since parry now gives deflection bonus, you can get the similar effect permanently through enough points there. Likewise the special duplicate flame weapon and other stuff on both weapons when dual wielding was instead made a general thing.

Maybe it would be a good thing that flame weapon applies to both weapons with the perk effect. But someone else would have to make a decision/implement it.

This is however a perk in no need of buffing as it is number two in popularity and beating number three with nearly double the amount of players taking it.

Sparks of Revelation removes stealth, not invisibility.

Did you:

  • Wear the armor when resting?
  • Try to reset the perk?

Did the chain shirt have a +1 modifier?

Not sure I would label any perk pertaining controlling more characters/buffs as new player friendly.

What amount of saves, AC and HP do you guys think are needed to survive these hard quests? Before buffing.

Survive, not thrive.

I don't think a XP cost is something most want. You guys dread it on all animal companions and familiars to begin with. Having the cost be like it is now hurts - but in a different way.

The perk itself not being superpopular I am completely fine with. It is not meant to be. Too many pets running around would be silly.

Bug Reports / Re: Vanishing Smoke
August 05, 2018, 09:23:44 AM
Fixed for next version.

Vanishing Smoke has been changed to no longer needing to be within a certain range, although there may be longer animation time for throwing the bottle further away.

Targeting yourself (impossible) or targeting enemies do not matter. Issue lay with the script trying to create a hostile effect at a location.

Fixed.

Perform was an issue. Feel free to approach me for a refund and help re-adding perform once the fix is live.

At subdual/going into negatives it checks once. Then you will have to rest before it checks again. If you have rested inbetween and still see no change report again.

Summons from items only allow one summon and removes the rest.  Whereas the rage summons are meant to be multiple and so allow what you had.

Quirk you got to work around. It is not unique to perk/rage.

This is a hardcoded feat so we cannot modify it.

The Lies of Locke Lamora (the Gentleman Bastard series) by Scott Lynch. A group of thieves get caught up in a criminal power struggle while carrying out their own heists.

The Name of the Wind (the Kingkiller chronicle) by Patrick Rothfuss. Young bard sets out to discover the truth about those who wronged him.

The Prince of Thorns (the Broken Empire trilogy) by Mark Lawrence. Young prince sets out to carve his rulership using his own ruthless cunning.

Mistborn (the Final Empire) by Brandon Sanderson. Recommend the first book in the series but the two others are also okay. A group of thieves plan their greatest heist against the tyrant of the land.

The Alloy of Law (and the rest of the series) by Brandon Sanderson. Steampunk cowboy must return to the capital to inherit and save his failing noble house.

Theft of Swords (Riyria Chronicles) by Michael J. Sullivan. Framed for something they did not commit the two mercenaries must find a way to solve the situation before they get killed.
