Potion of Awareness

Simply doesn't work. I drank two of them in a roll, trying to spot someone who cut my purse. It was no Wild magic area. No effect at all.

Was this after hearing someone cut your purse or at the time you actually lost your gold and got a message about that? There's a bit delay.

Biam has one of those, it casts Find Traps. So, unless there's multiple types of awareness potions, then I'd say it's working as intended.

A Potion of Hearing grants the bard spell Amplify. A Potion of ESP grants the wizard/sorcerer spell Clairaudience/Clairvoyance. A Potion of Awareness grants the spell of Find Traps. I'm assuming you meant a Potion of ESP, which would have an effect, and certainly does work, but some thieves have ridiculously high hide/move silently, and for someone who isn't focused in detection, even potions of Hearing and ESP aren't a sure bet, ESPECIALLY if the thief has already begun to flee.
