Suggestions / SF: bluff cleric feature
May 12, 2014, 02:20:02 PM
There used to be a feature for clerics who invested in (skill focus) Bluff. This feature seems to have been cast out along with the old OP cleric amulets ftom efu:m.

Could the feature be implemented again for the purpose of Turn Undead (and the IG description in the combat log) for its flavour?

Screen Shots & Obituaries / Ilph oj Noqu'lyl
March 28, 2014, 08:11:23 PM
#1. Ilph oj Noqu’lyl has met his end today. There is not that much I can reveal and unfortunately I have no screenshots to post right now. This secluded lifestyle has been, once again, a very rewarding experience for me. This opportunity to play a Drow, which is high on my list of favourites, brought me back to the server after a period of five months of inactivity. And I am glad it did.

#8. Special thanks go out Howland of course for running the War on the Dark Lake plot and all players that are and have been involved (with me personally or the plot as a whole). You’re going to go into merry times ahead, and I am envious!

#3. Take care all. Rock on. And I’ll be seeing you again at some point.

Bug Reports / PvP enabled around certain NPCs
March 26, 2014, 03:44:14 PM
The Shady Smuggler in the Canal Ward has this description:

"PvP may occur in the vicinity of this NPC, BUT NOT (instead of "if") if he is the only NPC here."

Bug Reports / Extracted Spider Venom
March 21, 2014, 11:57:05 PM
Spider Venom extracted from any Spider cannot be applied to any type of weapon. There is no DEX roll involved either. The message you receive is: "Nothing happens."

It cannot be used to poison food either (though that's not supposed to be the case).

Bug Reports / Survivor's Wizard Robes
March 19, 2014, 04:07:48 AM
Gonna stick this under a bug report again instead of in the suggestion box, because it's probably an oversight and not really up for great debate!

The Surivor's Wizrd Robes have Invisibility (single use) and Mage Armor (single use). Using the single use item will of course destroy the item in the process. If you use Mage Armor on your robes, that'd be kinda pointless.

In the interest of newbfriendiness a.k.a. those that aren't mechanical experts of our custom scripts and all.

Minor suggestion (shame on me): Give the item 3 charges, and give invisibility a 3 charge/use and mage armor a 2/charge use.

Suggestions / Ogre Slaver
March 15, 2014, 11:40:36 PM
I am going to stick this one under 'Bug Report' instead of 'Suggestions', because it feels like an oversight to me.

Just now someone else much tougher and I encountered 3 Ogre Slavers banded together, in the area outside the Boneyard.

With 22 AB (17 with PA which they enable) and usage of IKD, it does not feel like they should be spawning in trios, let alone in a lowby area.

Suffice to say, they tore through us like butter.

Edit: the suggestion and/or bug that I am reporting is that they should probably not be spawning in trios ;)

Bug Reports / Dominate Person does not work
March 09, 2014, 09:01:08 PM
Dominate Person as a charge/use does nothing against PCs (who are not immune to it through PfE for instance).

I was informed it should apply a short stun or daze effect.

Screen Shots & Obituaries / Slyd Radke
September 18, 2013, 06:51:56 PM
Alright! Slyd Radke's finally met an end that could only be stalled for so long. I have thoroughly enjoyed the interactions and active plots and schemes with so many people and factions.

Radke's had a long written history and a bunch of goals from the build up. This Maskarran (yeah, sorry to disappoint you guys) started off in an attempt to pit all sorts of factions against each other. After some time he became obsessed with The Man in the Mask and started to work on his behalf.

Realizing just how serious things had gotten, Radke let go of his attempts to pit factions against each other, and started to turn their noses to the faction he perceived to be the greatest threat to mankind: the Spellguard. The results of that... ha, ha..ha, shall hopefully bear its fruits over time.

Things are setting in rather heavily IG right now so I can't really get most of the screenshots up that I want to because of the spoilerish & incriminating nature, but here's one that I really enjoy looking back on right now.

Also, mebby spoiler:

Peace out guys! Thanks for the fun times.

Bug Reports / Red Mushroom (Badlands)
September 14, 2013, 08:50:56 PM
The Red Mushroom will be attacked by NPCs if they proc the trap.

If the Red Mushroom (Cloudkill) is destroyed, the 'trap' persists.

Result: being hit with cloudkill if nearby its original location without having the mushroom for indication.

Perhaps making it impervious to damage would be a good fix until you can come up which is more desirable I guess.

Suggestions / Permanent DM granted XP
September 11, 2013, 01:18:20 PM
Quote from: HowlandHowever â€" the calculated XP loss will not take into account DM granted XP, for example: John Keats has 15,000 XP, out of which 5,000 has been awarded by a DM

The way I noticed it there's 2 different kinds of DM awarded XP. One's permanent (as clearly stated in the combat log) and one's regular.

Slyd Radke's gotten around  6k dm experience so far, but only 250 xp or so of that was a permanent XP.

In my personal experience permanent xp. is scarcely given out despite the fact that it was introduced for good reasons.

Here's me wondering and suggesting if it would not be for the best to make all DM xp permanent.

Bug Reports / Lower Sendings...
August 31, 2013, 11:39:42 AM
# This could be the result of formidable chance, so I'd like to tentatively state that I am starting to feel that the:

- Beggar Child does not deliver messages as reliably, despite taking your gold;
- Messenger Girl does deliver your message reliably.

# The Beggar Child works, but with a lesser frequency. The Messenger Girl has worked succesfully all the times.

... I hope it helps. Them rats be gobblin' my jink up.

The stairs to Lower within the Withered Camp (next to Dull-Eyed Bluto) in the Lower Tunnels  is blocked off by 2 pillars on either side of it. It takes a lot of wiggling expertise to be able to use this ladder.

Suggestions / Messenger Child, Lower
August 05, 2013, 10:22:43 PM
Wouldn't it be great if the Messenger Girl would run messages for all those that have a spawn point set to the Pissing Crone, instead of for pure rogues only?

I'd make a lot of sense too, since she's asking quite a fee and all.
