I am always for adapting PRCs from P&P D&D and Forgotten Realms ... They seem to make more sense than those we try to make up with second intentions ...

Quote from: Oskar Maxon;133990They effectively become immune, as only unseen characters can sneak them, as you say. Falnking does not give sneak attack, which seems to be the very purpose of this thread.

Yeah, well, so, we both agree this feature does not grant sneak attack imunity. The name of the ability is defensive awareness II, and it comes with dwarven defenders, but it may have been added to spawns, as I believe it is available in the tools to do so.

Now, about the barbarian's (and rogue's) Uncany Dodge, it does not keep them from being flanked, so it is not the case.

And yeah, it is probably it. As I recall, some snakes, vipers or cobras also have this ability.

Quote from: Drakill Tannan;133925The Dwarven defender, after reaching a level, cannot be flanked while fighitng, therefore becoming effecively inmune to sneak attack.

Now, back on topic:

Why do you say uncanny dodge could be causing it? how can i avoid the sneak attack?

Wrong. They do not receive imunity against sneak attacks, for an unseen character can still sneak them.

Quote from: Drakill Tannan;133868Unless modified in EFU:A Defensive roll should not make creatures inmune to Sneak attacks that i know of, it would be a pretty awsome feat then, rather than the crappy waste-feat from the Rogue's bonus list.

I also don't think Barbarians become inmune, ever. Again, unless modified in EFU:A (none of i have read of)

Dwarven Defenders are though, once they reac a certian level (wich i can't remember) for as long as they are fighting.

No classes or feats, exept for pale master level 10 or undead shapeshifter shapes, get imunity to sneak attacks in NWN standard engine. Uncany dodge and some other similar feats or class features may grant the dexterity and dodge bonus if flat footed, and some others make you not have the penalty of an unseen creature attacking in surprise. All that, if it is not modified in EfU module. It is definetely a bug, a server modification, or your character was not really flanking the target, which happens sometimes, if the target is targeting you even if you are shooting from distance.

Quote from: Blubie;133901But I want a Ziggurat totem for my evil abberation-summoning teddy bear, Bobo.

Jokes aside, the bear does not summon aberrataions. It summons illusions.

About the name thing, I suggest other player charcters around just ignore the name was said.

I wonder if NC told your character he is supposed to be able to make it, for bubbleberries are supposed to spawn ... :)

Nah, just being an ass ... Well, I reckon the bug should be fixed, adding places to surface would be a patch to a bug. By the way, this quest, sometimes the character is unable to take it, even being in the level cap. I wonder if there is a mechanical trigger that does not allow taking the quest for an IC reason, or if it is just bugged.

Cyric is the god of intrigues ... And he, personally, caused almost an apocalypse only by doing intrigues, the 'spell plague' (in our game time, that is still to happen, of course). He is not nearly powerful as any of the gods that have fallen because of him. Cunning, smart and... INSANE! Definitely Joker like ... But with one difference. He is mostly successful. So, cyricist followers could be anything insane-like, for admiring him, or for fearing him ... But cyricist clerics, IMO, should be the cunniest sociopaths and psycopaths of men.

I played a priest of cyric once, and he actually interacted with another priest of Cyric, without any of both knowing about it. Alright, hey are liars, and pass as priests of other deities or even wizards, but there should be some kind of code for one to recognize another, in case of their lies is actually a disguise as another deity's priest. So, I think it is fine to talk OOCly about this before having the concept decided, this would explain the 'secret signs'. I'd actually join you if I did not have a main concept running.

This quest is a great boost up for characters that have fugued, dropped to level 3 and stripped form gear. It is good as it is, because it gives a second chance for those who want to keep their characters after hardship. So, the option to fight the undead is good because of this. Besides, for some characters, fighting undead has a purpose of its own.

Quote from: TheImpossibleDream;132728Halflings and gnomes can get the most ac on efu, fact.

What's with you guys and AC anyways ... Gees ... You are trying to promote a race because of its aswesome mechanical features?  (halflings are actually broken in my opinion, compared to other standard races)

Quote from: putrid_plum;132696Real Dungeons and Dragons Avatar:

Does not need a perk like in the game 'Fallout' mostly because this game is based on dungeons and dragons in the setting of Toril, Faerun.  Unlike most characters this one remains true to the same character system to be played in this type of game and does not try and become another game avatar.  Staying true to form, this character recieves no bonuses or anything silly like extra 'perks'.

There are 'perks', called 'traits' in D&D 3rd, unearthed arcana suplement, of course they are optional.
Check it out. It also can give you guys ideas to adapt some of these.
