Quote from: Staring Death;186224I mean easily accessible to anyone. It's not a drop, it's from an easily accessible vendor at a very affordable price.

Perhaps if we insert 'amazingly accessible' people will get the hint.

Runs without modification in Ubuntu 10.04. I'm having no problems with it so far. Only times it has been a pain in the ass is with an ATI video card.

Quote from: Craig210;183080Can statistics be provided on how many characters have knockdown? I wouldnt mind seeing an overall percentage.

No.

I'm really loving the diminishing returns idea. The use of this skill is great, but being locked down for long periods of time with no hope of resisting can be a real buzz kill.

I'd propose the diminished effect be different for KD and IKD, however. With KD granting +5 per knockdown, and IKD granting only +3 discipline to the target.

They typically kill things simply because the AI does not handle Bleed effects well. I can reduce the numbers though in the future if they really are getting out of hand. I'm surprised if they really are though, considering their spawn rate was increased only marginally.

Wherever it comes from, this has gone on long enough. The point has been made. Leave the personal crap at the door.

Hmm. I went with Foehammer because I was thinking it was the title of some Dwarven god. Now I come to realize it is an alternate name for Tempus :-(

I'll change it sometime soon

It's a quirky perk. Not all of them have to be utterly on par with one another. Not all of them are meant to be. Just like all weapons and all feats are not created equally.

This should be a place to freely post ideas, no matter how out of whack they may be. Please refrain from ridiculing other people's ideas and stick to posting Perk ideas of your own. We, the DM team, will decide if/when any of these will go in.

Quote from: derflaro;177454everyone saying 'not worth the time' sort of confuses me, considering they are not scripters and i also remember entertainment being put in supposedly easily

I am a scripter. I'm telling you that yes, it can be added, but making it do anything takes time. Is it hard? No. But it can be very time consuming, depending on how integrated things are. Thus when it is said it is not worth the time, nobody is saying it is hard, just that it would take more time than the gain is worth.

So no, you are not 'right'. You are confused by your own admission.

@lulzebub: It was a design decision mostly to keep actual coin rare. Consumables are fairly abundant, but the coin to purchase them is kept down to push people into finding them the hard way (quests) or to otherwise interact with PC crafters for a better price.

Most vendors then, have their prices set around their most valuable commodity, potions and other consumables, this leads to some of the other items being priced at sometimes ridiculous prices for what you're buying. Some could stand to be looked at perhaps, but for the most part it is meant to drive people away from NPC vendors and towards PC vendors/quests.

And yeah, Swimming helps to negate the move speed penalty from equipped gear, not with holding your breath.
