Well, I don't know about you guys... But whenever it starts raining around here, I put on my ornamental platemail armor and take the elevator to the tallest building I can find.

So far, I've only been struck once or twice. Out of the thousands of times I've done this, getting struck isn't that common of an occurance, I promise!

Perhaps the quest counter could be reset once, for those who tried to do the quest when it was broken?

I did the quest with Alton Lightfist while it was broken, and now it won't let me do it again.

I'm not sure if this bug is restricted to only the Rat Quest, or all quests that require you to kill something for it to be completed.

Would probably also apply to Animal Companion, possibly summons.

But anyhow:

My Familiar killed the rat, and there was no completion update. Instead, I was forced to abandon the quest.
