Whether the faction is dead or not, I'm cooking up my next concept, and it is a Sailor of Valkur. Whether or not I find old members of Leviathan's lament, I'll be working towards forming a crew in the same style, having the same name/banner/goals or not. I invite all current sailor characters or new ones if you feel like joining. I do not necessarily plan on being the faction leader, but I do intend to bring it up together. Some reasons why playing Valkur Sailors is a lot of fun in EfU/A:
  • Quote from: prestonhunt;134339I mean really people.  We're on an island chain, on the high seas.  Swashbuckling adventure practically writes itself ... Seriously folks.  Havent you ever wanted to fight pirates?  Find buried treasure?  Explore the high seas?  So many possibilities beyond just grinding Trogs, Harpies, and Orcs all day long.
  • Automatic Conflict/Enemies: The challenge! Umberlee plays a strong role in this area, mainly in Old Port. Valkur folks are anti pirates! Hey, Ymph is currently infested with those, the Stygians and Ixpadian Bucaneers. Sahaugins and Harpies also automatic enemies! Valkur is a CG deity, that favors the freedom. Hey, the system supports slavery! No shortage of plot conflicts there. Even if hypoteticaly the faction grows strong in numbers and power, we'd be always outnumbered and outpowered, requiring the wits to even survive, which is pretty fun (in my book at least)
  • Legitimate plundering: Valkur sailors are sorts of hero privateers. They plunder pirates, hey you can loot and plunder with no problems of guilty concience (like you would have otherwise, lol)
  • You can call your scimmitar a Cutlass, your Rapier Saber and your dagger a Large Knife, also talk all the sailor lingo, Aye!
  • Simply because it's cool
Begad matey! Be joinin' me crew smartly! Arrr!

Were the policy of FOIG in this case really legitimate, the entire mechanical changes page should not exist. Having to find out by yourself, IG, will only make players create test builds in the OOC start area, which is as OOC as reading in the page. So, no sense in that. Unless the real reason is too much work for busy DMs. That would be a better excuse.

They should be able to speak one chosen language, as they do in PnP, if they're so useless mechanically, this would make them at least useful Rp/flavor wise.

Quote from: General-shadow;143906Right got bored and did a sad thing looked at all tyhe members and started to sort out whos plays who and well turns out only roughly 24-30 people play EFUA amazing we have such fun with such a low number.

He did use a dot here, to express period. :P

Now seriously, I guess as long as it is understandable it's fine, being a grammar genius should't be required to play EfU:a. But yeah, when it starts getting in the way of RPing smoothness, I agree ...

That might be it then. I'll check if I have more fire arrows (Although I hardly keep track of arrows)

Happened to me too! The character is Kyrth (account: efuandme), I bought about five packs of 10. Either have them or the gold back would be nice.

Bard healer ... All song feats, healing spells and healing skill ... Brew potion ... Craft wand maybe... Arcane healing wands are awesome. I don't know why, but anytime this concept comes in my mind it comes as a bard from wilderness ... A tribsman elder or witch doctor.

Torch Boy / Town Cryer - (rogue) A boy who cryes news, gossips and events around town ... Runs errands to factions ... When adventuring, he carryes the torch ... Opens locks ... disables traps ... Carry the loot ...

All I could think for now ...

Yeah, I thought about doing something like that myself, of course with a propper concept behind it, related to the manipulation of the masses, and press power. Just not the time right now, since I'm running another concept. Go for it, my brother!

Quote from: Letsplayforfun;143528I like the idea of lone buildings/lair, away from NPCs (hence DM necessity), that have storage. Have only one key to the storage, and people will kill for it. ;)This can make claiming territory a real war.

Right, so actual 24/7 surveillance woudn't be needed that way. The problem is, the key would likely get lost in player's vaults or fugued character's bags who leave them behind. So, maybe a few keys, and a very expensive way to make copies. Further to this suggestion, I'll suggest to add more non persistent containers, maybe at exiled's camp, somewhere in the sewers, and near scripted quest areas

I've noticed the KD thing, mainly with wild orcs. It works on most other mobs though. But yeah, AI should be fixed ... if possible.
