Perhaps your pc should be a ratcatcher? It seems very reasonable a ratcatcher is level 4 and below.

I turned in about 200 rats with a level 3 wizard testing what kind of things the dm's had created. Mind numbingly easy to do. (and some very cool items if you are lucky/persist)

Well, they were in Drow lands so the Strippers are gonna be male.

Maybe that's what you meant?

Had it for Prugnak Ironeater; perk is essentially useless.  Rping him as lush was fun, but could have done that without the perk.

Very small hp boosts (if you make the fort save); temp hp meaning that they only heal you for a time and then disappear leaving you wounded again, and even worse you can still get addicted and suffer ab penalties for sustained periods (much longer than any potential hp boosts incidentally).

You're going to play a Stygian PC?

Seriously though, this topic was long derailed and dead; participating in thread necromancy is legal in the dominion but that dosen't make it a good idea.

Quote from: Garem;212480All your characters are dicks, why would this one be any different? >.>

Strange, you noticed also.

But it really isn't fair to hit your lessers (even when they call it on); you've such legends as the Bishop.

[which I really wanted to rp with more. Probably the only char on the server who reacted credibly to my Banite..naturally one char is not enough to make it worth my while..but kudos twice to you]

Alignments are general life philosophies and if your character isn't generally playing theirs, that means you are playing some second character through the first's body.  Which is a truly hilarious problem if you choose evil and act neutral and then encounter a paladin.

You can't ask other players playing classes or personalities with hardcoded responses to your alignment to ignore your alignment, or understand your complete 'artistic license'.

Seanzie: As fizzt said, a discussion on a discussion board.

Others:
The core I was aiming for was this; if your character is evil in this realm, they are, regardless of inner conflict, or outward veneer, a foul creature.

Not has exceedingly kinky sexual fantasies, or runs drugs to addicts, or has the hunting attitude of elmer fudd, but has the moral equivalent of the smell of rotting eggs.  A paladin smells this rot (it in character stuns him if its bad enough), and anyone with the lore skill equivalent of a 6th grader knows in character that the paladin both can see the foulness of the truly awful and that it's a hell of a good idea to stay away from people paladin's label as truly bad.

I'd like to see the divide between good/neutral and evil much clearer established; evil chars are hated and feared by most neutrals, and worked with carefully by those who would dare.  Have seen many non-evil chars on the server with high lore skill arguing with a paladin that what he thought was evil was just his hallucination.  The FR version of "This serial killer looks fine to me; what's your problem mr high and mighty?"

Samurai are famous for wearing impressive splint mail; but this armour is much more useful at turning aside blades than it is at stopping smashing or pointed attacks.

An elite banded mail with significant bonus vs slashing weapons might provide just the niche that's being requested.

Players then have a choice then between high vs slashing AC or solid all round AC of fitted plate.

No multiple wrong answer tests required to tell me my political leanings; I have very few.  Once upon a time a stupid kid by my name used to believe in all sorts of horseshit, but at some point he got wise.  Most political views are nothing but speeches in vacuum; never tested and unlikely to stand up under pressure.

My politics are simple; I'll back up anyone who seriously backs me up.

A lighter side to the topic of 'harsh consequences for ingestion of substances'...

Older d&d editions had a funny little chart called 'the potion mixing chart', which came into effect whenever a pc drank a second potion while a first potion was still in effect.  Healing potions were not a problem because their duration was immediate, but anything that buffs you was.

A quick web search will find various versions of this chart for those curious.  Perhaps the most amusing result was the massive no save explosion on ingestion...literally, your pc goes boom.

I'm not suggesting implementing this, it's more to illustrate how liberal the system has gotten about letting a player 'have a priest in their pocket'....and is why the fighter classes tend to dominate nwn.  Can you imagine the carnage if this table were put into play on a fighter who's just quaffed his 12th buff in as many rounds?  Amusing at a minimum.

On a partially related note the custom content of efu really enhances the utility of non-fighters in a variety of impressive ways, and such additions as a wizard actually having a spellbook are really very impressive.

I don't do the 'reporting' thing; it's rather close to being a tattletail in grade school.  I've learned it's best actually to keep your mouth shut about most of what you know.  Telling on someone has to be the last thing in the world that interests me; I wrote a public message to set things very clear for those who for mostly ooc reasons crave to smack my chars around.  These folks know who they are.

I expect players to show maturity not because I threaten to call the dm, but because they want to be smart.  It's a complete waste of time to try to bludgeon someone into playing well; you can't force quality.

I wrote this public message to let everyone know who wants to 'fight my chars' to either put serious reason/effort into the rp, or to take your beefs elsewhere.  I wouldn't have written it if it weren't an ongoing issue.  If you've a hankering to 'put me in my place', do it with skill and style.  I might even congratulate you after you win.
