Quote from: Vlaid;292948Could switch it so the listen check is to determine distance, if you fail it you're told the wrong distance, instead of wrong direction.

I like that, and would even suggest that if you fail the DC you simply get "You are unsure of the distance."

Alternatively, the accuracy of the direction could be affected. Instead of a precise "North by northwest" you might end up just getting "Somewhere in the northern 180 degrees of you" etc.

I still don't see why you think removing a light source through an intentional feature of an area is an exploit, when casting continual flame on an item is not, and neither is casting camouflage for +10 hide, nor is stealthing during the day and ignoring any light source penalty.

If you really want to get into this, magical light sources are supposed to be trivial to simply cover up in the first place, thus not being a hindrance at all unless the light is actually desired.

Regarding weapons, if you invest a feat in order to be able to use better weapons, you would think those weapons should be, you know... better.

QuoteAnd like perks, it seems odd that a cleric who focuses less on his faith  and more on her ability with her weapon by taking fighter levels would  have the same opportunity as one who focused fully on the pursuit of  their religious duties.
Multiclassing cleric is already the mechanically inferior choice most of the time, I imagine; done perhaps to play a particular "flavor" of cleric better, and I do not think making this choice less appealing is desirable.

My character has levelled, and received both a new amulet and book. I got rid of both the new items. However, the old amulet has been wiped clean, it appears.

Still broken, it seems.

Given the village size and the keep, a palisade is probably more fitting and far more feasible than a stone wall. Even small, stone age tech villages can manage a palisade to slow advances.

Anyway, there are already PCs pursuing improving the wall IG, if you're interested in this sort of thing, why not get behind their efforts?

Just as a note, I think an ogre would wield a great-axe as a one-handed weapon anyway.

Quote from: Eddie Walker;273404Some of the domain names are listed under a different name in the override, don't ask me why.

I have been told Repose is actually labelled "Rest" when you create a character.

Quote from: Spiffy Has;273217Currently, Call Lightning strikes everyone in the vicinity of the area effect for 1d10 per level.

Originally, it did 1d6 to all hostile units, ignoring friendly targets.

Adding a feature where druids or clerics with the STORM domain may summon a rainstorm for 1 minute per level, in where it takes 3 minutes to perform the ritual, would be a compromise to make the spell both useful and applicable.

I could be wrong, but not being able to use it at will all the time was probably the cost of making it almost twice as damaging.

QuoteIt sounds like this was an instance where you didn't do anything wrong  intentionally, but where you just had to be corrected due to uncertainty  over circumstances!
Corrected? Now I am confused. If you are knocked via any FD mode into bleeding and are healed by someone else, are you not allowed to continue? And how does that make any sense? Sincerely, a concerned citizen.

QuoteI find it a bit silly that a stargazer would accept such things from outsider gods.

Do stargazers not have clerics at all?

It appears that now my character has received a -1 to his social skills, presumably for having 5 points in diplomacy. However, unlike other reports, I have not died since putting points in it, though I suppose it is possible I leveled.

Sadly, my character, Colthan Lleir, has placed 5 points into Secondary Diplomacy, and has also received no bonus to his social skills.
