Holy lol that is a hilarious thing. It literally makes you unaffected by the darkness so that you are effectively hanging out of the cloud while everyone else it blinded.

Darts are also automatically mighty as well, but weigh 1/10th the weight.

Yeah the exploring honeymoon on servers is always one of the funnest things. I had a great time running around on this server when I first joined.

Call lightning will actually target friendly targets in nwn1. It's in nwn2 that it is a radius around the caster that only targets enemies.
